Spot on! While auburn has built some momentum, there are a few things to consider. First, they were probably due for an upset against somebody,, especially given who all had to travel to auburn this year. They were going to get one of those teams. There is a question mark as to how that win over aTm carries over the very week on the road in a place where they haven't done particularly well. Not having the game in auburn works against them moreso than people think.
Also, even with the win over aTm, they blew a 21-0 lead and for a bit, that stadium went quiet as a mouse sleeping on cotton. aTm had at least 4 or 5 chances to win but just wouldn't pull the trigger. Had auburn built on that 21-0 lead and won something like 42-14, yeah....that would be a different story. But they had to hold on for dear life for the win after going up by 3 TDs at home.
Then there is the fact that they had an absolute marathon of a game. 4 overtime periods. Let's not underestimate how much that took out of them. Of course, with this unexplainable season, who really knows, but with us having the home field advantage, and them at least a little gassed from the marathon with aTm, I'm just not seeing a Tubberville vs Shula kind of IB next week
