And yes the letter of intent prevents that (or whatever it is called now) unless a school releases them from itIs the portal still open? And if so, would anything prevent a player from committing today and entering the transfer portal tomorrow?

So that's a full year?
Speaking of the portal, I saw where CB Julian Humphrey of UGA has entered the portal and it said we lead for his commitment. Others pursuing include Texas, A&M (his home state), Oregon and Miami. Started 10 games this year and him entering before championship game is strange. #1 CB and #6 player in portal as of now.Saban and his staff had really great success in the portal. Hoping CKD can as well, especially for the D-line.

So basically the LOI has become worthless. What a mess.I believe it covers until the portal opens in the fall but i suppose anyone can get a release from an Loi for a good enough reason.
Worth mentioning that the LOI changed this year so I dint know maybe its different now
They could exit in the spring portal i believe but thats not normally an issue with freshmen unless a coach leaves or something drastic happens
No I wouldn't go that far.So basically the LOI has become worthless. What a mess.
Nice! He ran a 4.34 40-yard dash last year at the All-American Bowl. He's got speed.
I like the 6’6” number in addition to the speed. He and Odum can be match up nightmares for smaller DB’s.Nice! He ran a 4.34 40-yard dash last year at the All-American Bowl. He's got speed.
Maybe the University didn’t want to pay NIL.
So what are we going to see in the game programs from now on...?You cant use someone's image unless you have licensed to do so. I think this is why we are seeing this. The NLI is not an NIL agreement.
