Justice Haynes averaged 5.7 per rush. Young averaged 5.6.

May be some of the issue is Jam Miller, I don't know because we never really saw a consistent enough rush attack to evaluate, but I do know the other two guys ran well when given a chance. Haynes only got two carries, it's hard to say well Michigan had him bottled up after only two attempts isn't it?

That's the issue, we just flat out refused to give these guys a shot most of the time.
That was the big issue.............the OC or the coach would go away from something working........run it till it dont work then run something else

See that’s so weird because I think Jam is our best back, and it’s not even close.

ESPN talking heads deeming DeBoers first year a failure and we're getting roasted after today's performance about thinking we should have been in the playoffs.

Our program has/is slipping back to pre-Saban days. This offseason will determine DeBoers fate.
ESPN is all about generating clicks and engagement. When we missed the playoffs they were rage farming on our behalf. Now they’re throwing dirt on our grave. I’d take them with a grain of salt.

Not this again, I kind of dug myself in a hole when I bit on speculation the last time.

All I can say is I question some of his choices...

Milroe is making things way too easy for him as of right now, if there's no Milroe and Alabama isn't a juggernaut then people have no one else to blame.

If the QB isn't capable of making the play, it's not a good play unless you draw up something that can be executed. I said the same thing during Hurts time at Alabama, you don't get bonus points for drawing up a play that the QB can't execute and for the record the defense knows this as well. You do this in basketball, you don't care if a guy who can't shoot is open, you dare them to make the play, you sucker them into that choice.
The problem is there is too much that the QB can't do. There's literally no way to draw up enough he can do to have a complete game plan.

Well, I do think Jam would have done better if he was a more focal point of the offense instead of just a change of pace. He gets ten carries while Milroe throws the ball 32 times, that seems uneven doesn't it?

Having said that, if we just go by averages which can be misleading, Jam averaged 5.1 per carry in his time at Alabama and Haynes averaged 5.9. I certainly would have liked to see both get more carries though, but my main point was just if people didn't like how the running game looked with Jam, perhaps we should have seen more of the other guys as well.
