this is not what happened. Milroe got benched that game bc of his crappy attitude after the Texas loss. They didn’t put bad tape out there to take food out their mouth to prove a point. Two years of just as bad o line play proves that. Just stop it
They refused to block for the other QBs. They wouldn’t even help Ty up. You’ll never convince me otherwise.

I will be careful in what I say about this football team, its players, and coaches. First of all, I am not disappointed or surprised by the outcome of the Michigan game, I gave up all expectations for this team when we lost to Vanderbilt. We were fortunate to beat UGA and USCe which would have given us a 7-5 record. This team lacked talent, leadership, and desire. This could be attributed to the LANK crap, a nucleus of players who thought they were entitled to start, and what appears to be a total breakdown of coaching development and preparation. We were never deserving to be in the CFP because we were not a good team. It was a transition year and it could have gone either way, we were lucky to win 9 games. I am afraid next year will not be much better unless we get a QB and more importantly, an offensive line. DeBoer's staff is simply was not very good, but maybe they have learned this year and will be better next year, but I would not bet on it. We have taken several steps backward and it will likely be quite a while when and if we get back into being one of the premier programs in the SEC. I am really glad this season is over.

If Derrick Henry is your quarterback when you'd have to be an idiot to try to have him pass the ball wouldn't you?

My take on this the whole time has been Alabama should have developed the running game and relied on it more. You can't just turn it on late in the season on a whim, not that Alabama tried to do that. But imagine for instance how this game goes if even at a woeful 2.5 yards per rush, Alabama just rushes the ball more earlier (and punts). They don't gift the game to Michigan, all because they didn't let Milroe go out and screw things up.

Alabama didn't have to do anything special to beat Michigan, Michigan only had 190 yards total offense. This absolutely could have been 2009 championship game GMac (only 11 attempts) and they could have won. They put the game in Milroe's hands, they chose to do that and this is how it went...
Then DeBoer needs to find a better OC to run a balanced offense because Sheridan is running a back yard ball scheme

Really, that made you lose all respect for Coach? They made the playoffs and was a defensive stop from playing for the national championship . I guess he really didn’t need your respect after all. C’mon with the over the top comments. So you have no respect for the man that won 6 national championships for the school you cheer for? Really? Not trying to attack, but come on.
Saban let the players pick the QB because NIL had poisoned the locker room. He could have killed the cancer from the beginning. He chose to win one more SEC title and then dip. So, yeah…

I agree with a lot of this. They didn’t lack talent. There is talent all over the field. All the other things are true.

While that’s a true statement, the coaching staff should have known Milroe couldn’t make those throws because he couldn’t see them. It was a decision by the offensive staff to play Milroe this year, and this game. At this point in the season, you know what you have with him. He wasn’t going to magically be able to even attempt those throws. To me, that’s on coaching as much as it is Milroe. Either call plays Milroe and the offense has some chance to execute, or play someone else.
He must see em all in practice……vs air.

Blame Saban then

The problem is that we tried to transition into a big offensive line and it backfired. We don’t run well.

Again we can’t run and we don’t have a quarterback that can read “see jane run” in terms of reading defenses. I’m totally shocked everyone this year didn’t see the Rose bowl and scheme us accordingly.

Near the end of the game, the announcers KNEW what they were watching and started talking about how much community service he had done, that he had a degree in Business and a masters degree. yada yada.

I absolutely care about academics & being a good guy (those should happen no matter what) ... but I don't want "feel goodism" to be the criteria for evaluating a qb or any other player.

Rick Neuheisel at half of the Washington-Louisville Sun Bowl game said he thinks JM’s erratic play over the course of the season will make him rethink any idea of going to the NFL. He thinks he is coming back. To Alabama!? He didn’t say.

A guy l already hated enough says this…..

Neuheisel, not CB4, folks)……

I don’t need to convince you of anything I’m just sick of your broken record. There isn’t a single person on this board who can’t quote your opinions on this matter. Just bc you repeat yourself doesn’t make it fact

Again we can’t run
Justice Haynes averaged 5.7 per rush. Young averaged 5.6.

May be some of the issue is Jam Miller, I don't know because we never really saw a consistent enough rush attack to evaluate, but I do know the other two guys ran well when given a chance. Haynes only got two carries, it's hard to say well Michigan had him bottled up after only two attempts isn't it?

That's the issue, we just flat out refused to give these guys a shot most of the time. Having said that, the less you run the less effective your run game tends to be. It requires more discipline than the passing game which is more skill based.
