Bama Game Thread: Official Postgame Thread - Reliaquest Bowl, Bama vs. Michigan, Dec. 31, 11:00 AM, ESPN...

Saban’s ALWAYS did that. He talked openly and publicly and often about it from early in his tenure. I have trouble believing that some of you don’t remember that. You aren’t the only one. Again, Saban always did it - I remember specifically from the McCarron/ Philip Simms battle that didn’t end until the 2nd or 3rd game of the season. “Whoever wins the team.”

Btw, Milroe had the same problems with USF this year that Buchner and Ty had last year. Their scheme and attitude just seems to give Alabama trouble.
You know dang well there is a HUGE difference in the spirit of what “winning the team” means vs what Milroe did. I will hear no argument on this. You are wrong.

Good morning and Happy New Year!

I haven't posted in a few days, but here goes.

1. Our Offensive play calling hasn't changed since the LSU game. Lazy game planning by the staff. I don't know if that's the best we can do with our personnel or what. It has to change.

2. Totally upset that Simpson didn't replace Milroe after it was evident that he wasn't able to be effective. I'm not sure if that has to do with the fact that we don't have a game plan for when he comes in or what.

3. The Defense played great under the circumstances where they were in the game most of the first half.

4. What's the point in having a RB like Jam Miller if you gonna use him more.

Instead of doing NIL videos Jam Miller, Justice Haynes, and Richard Young have been posing for milk carton photos for “the missing”.

Milroe as a QB is like Hawk Tuah girl as a wife.

This is maybe the most walking a fine line wit I've seen here in 15+ years.

A person gets it or doesn't but it can in no way be touched or explained further...lol

I almost added to it but know my limitations as a comedian and don't want to miss A-day so I'm going Full Colby...

Unless the alleged LANK deal was an oral understanding, there’s a written agreement. The university is a public institution. Couldn’t some enterprising journalist drop a FOIA (or whatever the Alabama equivalent is) on the university and get all the details?
The University has nothing to do with NIL collectives, so no a FOIA request would not work.

Someone should pose those questions to DeBoer...........

Even if there’s no university signature on a document, there is close to zero chance that there are no emails or text messages involving the deal, and they would all presumably be discoverable upon a request under the Alabama Open Records Act. All we need is a journalist with curiosity and tenacity…

Sure, it makes sense. Think!
Oh I get it. It just blows my mind that anyone would stick with such a player/agreement well after the point where his leverage was at its peak (Saban retirement transfer portal) when it is clearly to the detriment to the team and the coach’s own career. It’s like a suicide pact. How could anyone complain if Milroe got benched after his atrocious showing against Tenn? OU? That is what doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. What could he possibly do? Tank our season? Already happened.

Find a new NIL brand because this one has made Alabama players into laughing stocks.

it’s a summer softball travel ball silly girl motto that should have died the second we got into fall practice. But we allowed it to become a monster that destroyed the team. Im not even mad about Vandy and Michigan players throwing it back in their faces they brought it upon themselves.

He's correct. I'm sure the University stays clear of involvement in the deals, so it couldn't be "FOIed"...

Well, think again. If some of the key players are financially tied to him. If it cost them money when Milroe was benched...

I get that, and yet the world is full of examples of ill-advised communication that unmasked the truth. Hugh Freeze wasn’t pantsed at Ole Miss because he had a written agreement with a hooker. Peter Strzok wasn’t performing official FBI duties. People can’t help leaving discoverable digital trails…
