So, both sides use the "both sides" argument?I know some people feel that way, but that’s not what I was addressing. It’s that a few posters seem to use the “both sides” comment to avoid taking a stance on an issue. It happened when Biden was president, too. The administration or party does something and rather than take a stand or express an opinion, we get a “both sides are guilty of this” statement. It usually seems to be a way to avoid expressing support for the action while at the same time moving the conversation away from the original topic. It’s almost as if some folks don’t want to take any responsibility for the issues/actions they support.
Seriously, I (and others) use that argument to counter the excessively juvenile tribal stance that is little more than "my political party is noble, wise, and awesome, while your party is comprised of Nazis (who tend to be aloof)." We thankfully don't have much of that silliness here anymore, as the children have moved on to vandalizing Teslas, leaving this board the better for it.
