This is a continuation of Your Window on the World - PART 1 - a thread started a few years ago!

Context: Saw something like this on a travel blog where people were posting a "view from their window" just looking out through an interesting window from their home. Thought this could be an interesting thread for us here on TF!

We've had 500 posts in Part 1 ( the max # posts in a thread ) so we're continuing with Part 2 in this thread. Thanks to all who have posted fantastic pics over the past 3 years!

@Bazza - my backyard needs a major renovation. Wish you were closer than 3000 miles away :D
If you're being serious.....I wouldn't know how to help you probably because Utah is so much different than Florida.

Now if you were to move to Florida.....NSB, in particular.....we could talk! :)

Seriously though - I'm sure there are some really good landscape folks in your area. One way to approach this is to keep your eye open while driving around. If you see a place that's in the process of being re-landscaped - and you like the finished product - find out who did the work.

You're a smart man so you don't need my advice of course on beating the bushes (NPI) to find what you want. But in this industry trades folks' quality of work is on full display for the whole world to see, so that's why I made those remarks about one approach you could use.

And always get references.

HTH!

About 3 months ago I purchased some Christmas Cactus cuttings. Well today was graduation day! Took the rooted "plugs" and replanted 3 to a pot in 4" pots. They came to me 3 cuttings per variety x 10 varieties so now I have 10 x 4" pots of them. Plus a 4" pot with 3 rooted Easter Cactus cuttings I sourced from a different vendor.

They will live in these 4" pots until the summer and at some point will be moved up to 6" pots. I'd like to find some shallow 6" pots because this plant doesn't have deep root systems but not sure I will find those. We'll see.

Then at the end of the year I should see them in bloom and can compare their color blooms with those from the seller's descriptions.

Here's how they arrived:

Then today. This is the tray I used to root them in:

@selmaborntidefan - speaking of MJ.....a few weeks ago I ran into one of the production managers at a local wholesale Native Grass Nursery I used to buy from when I was still in the business. He told me they were about to take (I think he said) 10K (3 gallon) Gulf Muhly Grass plants down to "The Grove XXIII", his private golf course in Hobe Sound......and plant them. I didn't even know they did installation - just thought they sold the plants.

He said something about the club being closed - but no one on the staff wanted to pick up any extra money, except for one guy - to help with the planting.

Anywho......that is a LOT of Muhly Grass plants!
