Apparently, Jaden Rashada is having a hard time finding a new school. Don't know why, but I'm guessing it has something to do with demands for pay.

The outrage is growing. That's good!

I'd be shocked if the top University Presidents (football schools) aren't communicating about this.

Football drives the bus of all the other NCAA sports. If they can stand up for their universities and get this straightened out, the sport might be saved!

Well I’m not shocked at all about the new Tenn rumors.

Fwiw it didn’t matter because they wouldn’t have beat tOSU anyway.

But that’s not the point of course.

The same stuff has been happening at Alabama in both ‘23 and ‘24.

Sometimes about NIL and sometimes about other issues we’ve beat to death.

But it was the same ‘I won’t suit up and play at 100% effort if you don’t give me what I want’ situation.

I’m sure other schools have dealt with it too and it’s just going to get worse if a set of guidelines and restrictions and rules and regulations aren’t set up.

But yeah nobody should throw stones on this one.

What I am aware of because it is generally public knowledge is disheartening. I expect that if I knew what was going on throughout college sports, or even just football, it would make me sick.

It has nothing to do with “adults in the room”. It is just Rashada sucks as a player. If he’d be a good QB then some college would pay him 3-5 million despite his greed and character issues.

If I'm UcheaT (glad I'm not), I consider taking him back for half of what he was making. He is getting to experience firsthand what happens when you play stupid games. If he wants to come back and fall in line for half of what he was making, then I would consider that a point made and message delivered. I highly doubt he would ever agree to that, though.

I agree, but there is always some coach that's on the hot seat and some booster with more money than sense. I don't know that he'll get 4 mil, but he will play next year.

There is not much that NCAA can do now. People did not follow the rules before, but at least there were rules and punishment (hello, Pruitt) for breaking them.
Currently, there are no rules; it is just a wild, wild west capitalism. It might be good for the players in the short term, but it is bad for the game.

Going from a backup QB at UGA where he actually probably had a chance to play eventually to playing for UCONN, WKU, FAU, USA, or Tulane (who are all mentioned as in the running for his "services") is a LOOOOOOOOOOG dropoff in prestige, meaningful football, and pay, I'm sure.

I realize guys have to go where they think fits best, but this seems like a guy who has unrealistic expectations about his talents and who wants him or is really just not very good.

That's the guy who filed a lawsuit against Florida, claiming they offered him $13.8 million, then reneged. I'm sure the fact that he is actively suing a program had something to do with it, not to mention that the claims are a little suspicious. He also claims he left $9.5 million on the table at Miami to go to Florida. We now know that Nico wasn't offered anywhere near that, because it's pretty clear he would've taken it. So you mean to tell me that the #6 QB in the class was offered $7 million more than Nico, who was considered a generational talent coming out of high school? it doesn't add up, so that's probably a sign that guy comes with a ton of baggage. I wouldn't take the chance.
