The point is unless / until we start seeing people killed, the incredible exaggeration via comparison is ridiculous.
To your point, I disagree with the assertion that any time someone in power disregards the law that's akin to mass-murdering millions of people, which is essentially what you're saying here. No one is being murdered in gas chambers or shot in the back of the head in front of a pit. While you can say 'yet', it's still true that it's NOT happening - and the comparison is an insult to the millions who suffered and died at the hands of the nazis.
The comparison is preposterous at this point as the continual comparisons to nazis, hitler, the Holocaust are quite frankly disgusting.
If things change, I'll happily call trump hitler 2.0 and rally against the evil, but at this point the comparison is, at best, hyperbole and an insult to those who actually faced that evil.
