I didn't know they could do it anymore this year. Did it not kick in yesterday? I thought I saw an article about that.

Was working on an explanation and it got deleted oops.

Short version.

NIL still exists and schools can over bid BUT contract must be approved by the clearinghouse (NIL go)

In other words those deals mist be legit. Can't pay your 3rd team center 5 figures in NIL unless you can show how they are going to earn it....at least thats how it will work in principal. We will see how it works in reality as it gets tested.

The playing gets leveled but only for "the haves" which bama is one of. The schools who got used to giant NIL bids may keep it up if they can afford and justify it (Oregon, Texas, aTm, Michigan, Miami etc...) but bama has been prepared for this shift and its paying off.

Auburn is experiencing the consequences of tying up all their money in two classes just to spite their rival. And their situation right now reflects that.

Yep. I've lurked on their recruiting boards and apparently they are forgoing recruiting now and saving all their Walmart coupons for signing day flips and the transfer portal.

Looks like we have a day of rest tomorrow which is going to stop the 10 commits in 10 days streak. However there will still be lots of fireworks for the 4th of July weekend and beyond.

It's because he reclassified. I think he might have been their top RB in the 2027 class. He'll probably skyrocket up the rankings once his junior/senior season starts. I think by the end, he will be the consensus top RB on all services.

Of all the coaches swings at the Regions earlier in the spring, his swing is by far the worst!!! 😁
