Most of the palms on my property are known as crown shaft palms. They typically do not need pruning nor do they have armament. The majority of them are native to Australia.
This time of year of course they are growing pretty good and thus shedding lower fronds on a regular basis.
As these lower fronds drop off, flower stalks are revealed! These have different sizes and coloration per species.....which I find fascinating.
Piccabeen Palms have purple colored ones....such as this one located between my 2 driveways that just revealed itself.......

FWIW…there’s no filter use here. Just an iPhone and taken a few minutes apart. Last one was first.

Finished a little backyard project. All the significant cities/countries that Lan and I have traveled to since we've been together. A lot more to come (hopefully).

No photo @BamaNation but at the Dollar General store here yesterday the young lady cashier was wearing a BYU sweat shirt. Of course I had to make a comment on it and she said she's enrolled to start school there in the fall. Said her major will be animal science. I said that's a really excellent university and wonderful major and she will love Utah.
She said her friend is also enrolled and will major in dentistry.
Pretty cool to see these young people heading out into the "real" world like that. I bet her Mom and Dad are very proud!
