Most of the palms on my property are known as crown shaft palms. They typically do not need pruning nor do they have armament. The majority of them are native to Australia.
This time of year of course they are growing pretty good and thus shedding lower fronds on a regular basis.
As these lower fronds drop off, flower stalks are revealed! These have different sizes and coloration per species.....which I find fascinating.
Piccabeen Palms have purple colored ones....such as this one located between my 2 driveways that just revealed itself.......

Finished a little backyard project. All the significant cities/countries that Lan and I have traveled to since we've been together. A lot more to come (hopefully).
