When one side keeps yelling to their base that the other side is a threat to democracy, a bunch of fascists and Nazis.....you're basically asking for violence against the other side.
What you're asking for in that situation is resistance--and resistance does not have to be violent.

And when you see one person gather more and more power--what would you do? Bend over and say "Thank you sir, may I have another?"

Vaccine mandates address a clear and present health issue. You don't want to get vaxxed? Fine. Don't use any public services. You don't want to get your kids vaxxed? Fine. Prepare to home school them.

You don't like Kimmel? Fine. Don't watch him. I find it more than a little telling that people who are happy with Colbert and Kimmel being pulled from their have been conspicuously silent about Brian Kilmeade suggesting that homeless people should be euthanized.

Or, for that matter, people who claim that Charlie Kirk was just exercising his right to free speech, and then turn around and condemn other for using the same right.
Charlie Kirk was self employed. Colbert and Kimmel were not.

Didn't Psaki say she wanted Joe Rogen censored or pulled from Spotify? Simply because he made a video stating he had been given ivermectin by a doctor?

Those covid vaxx mandates were a gross overreach, I don't care who is in charge of government. That particular "vaxx" hadn't been tested and the government and media went on a full court press to tell everyone it was safe and effective. Rachel Maddow even told America if you got it you wouldn't get covid....so did Biden.

So what if I am? Are you suggesting that this board should have have more tolerance for sick content? A weird flex, but you do you.

Or, if it will make you happy:

Of these two statements, which would you consider to be the sicker of the two?

1. "The Maga Gang desperately trying to characterise this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it."

2. "Homeless people should be euthanized."

Both statements were made on nationally televised shows.
Well, lets see.

Kimmel said he wouldn't apologize for his statement.

Kilmeade said this:
"Now during that discussion, I wrongly said they should get lethal injections," he continued. "I apologize for that extremely callous remark. I am obviously aware that not all mentally ill homeless people act as the perpetrator did in North Carolina and that so many homeless people deserve our empathy and compassion.”

That resistance becomes violent when your political leaders continue to state that we are all going to lose our rights if "they" are in charge.

One person hasn't gotten more and more power. The right controls government right now, the left usually has it for much longer periods. Calling those on the right fascists and Nazis and continually telling your base to harass and go after those fascists and Nazis leads to violence...inevitably. When you dehumanize a group of people you get bad outcomes.

You're missing the point, my friend.

People LOST THEIR JOBS because they refused to get the jab. Nurses, truck drivers, the military.....and many more......

This was the GOVERNMENT doing this, my brother.

And I suspect many of these folks were living paycheck to paycheck - unlike Kimmel.

With all the liberal support from the left including Hollywood.....do you really think Kimmel won't land back on his feet somewhere?

Meanwhile many others have had their lives ruined because of what the government did to them during Covid.

It can become violent--it certainly did on Jan 6. Not so much with the anti Trump rallies over the summer.

One person hasn't gotten more and more power.
Right. The Supreme Court hasn't been ceding power to Trump, nor have they protected him with sweeping immunities nowhere to be found in the Constitution.

The GOP-led Congress hasn't passed bill ceding tariff authority to Trump, nor has the Senate enabled Trump to assemble the most stunning unqualified cabinet in the history of the nation.

You know, it just occurred to me: lost in all the hoo-hah about Jimmy Kimmel's cancellation, not one person has stated the most obvious thing about all this. Jimmy Kimmel is about as funny as a busted hemorrhoid. Sure, we can question the relevancy all we want to, but that doesn't make this any less true.
He is funny to those that aren't snowflakes when their orange jesus is mocked for being an incompetant fool.

Haven't missed anything. In a public health crisis, the government has to take steps to protect the greater good. There is historical precedent for such actions.
Meanwhile many others have had their lives ruined because of what the government did to them during Covid.
If only you were as concerned about the people who died because of what the government did during Covid.

You wrote:

"the government has to take steps"

And I replied "people lost their jobs"

But that's OK.......

LOL, no he isn't. He wasn't funny on "The Man Show", either. It's okay to admit when a comic sucks, even if he's part of the cult tribe.
