The Tesla boss called on followers to boycott the streaming giant.

So Trump supporters (two of my brothers, BTW) are cancelling Netflix because Elon is mad because his son is trans, and Netflix has a cartoon that features a trans kid.

I guess Comedy Central and Paramount Plus are in the crosshairs. South Park has been lampooning Dear Leader all this season. In the last episode, it was revealed that Trump is having sex with Satan and Satan is going to have his baby. Conceived via the back door.

I'm shocked. SADDENED by the gross, immature and heinous nature of this humor.

Those who consider transsexuals to be mentally ill or part of a nefarious plot to affect the gender of children will be upset at Netflix. Others will take a more reasonable stance.

Is it the same President Trump who has cut cancer research funding?
Or was Trump impressed because someone was able to survive despite his cuts?

Following directives from President Donald Trump, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has withheld billions of dollars in funding for research and terminated grants that were funding studies across the country — moves that have negatively impacted researchers studying cancer and other diseases.1-4

Between February and June of this year, the NIH terminated more than 1800 grants and obligated $8 billion less toward new and existing grants than in the same time period in fiscal year 2024, according to the US Government Accountability Office.1

It appears to me that we are heading into more use of AI - not only in health care but other areas.

Your article also points out an attempt to remove some of the politics from the grant process and bring it back to (I'm guessing) a more merit-based system.

There's no doubt about the waste involved in how our tax dollars are spent. I'm hoping the new directive to implement AI removes some of that so our dollars are used more efficiently in this important area of health care.

So earlier in the year, he cuts funding and guts medical research in this country, and now signs an EO to funnel money to AI companies for "cancer research". Meanwhile, the Trump family has been investing in AI. Hmmmmmm.

Follow the money. The grift of MAGA continues.

Have we ever considered if the MAGA Republicans and Alt-Left Democrats dominating the primary elections are both part of the same shill perpetuated by a politically engaged oligarchy? Benefitting from lax tax policy and the erosion of individual rights?

Before the election, we surveyed the legal establishment about what a second Trump term could mean for the rule of law. A year later, they’re very, very worried.


Last year, in the months before the 2024 presidential election, the magazine surveyed 50 members of what might be called the Washington legal establishment about their expectations for the Justice Department and the rule of law if Donald Trump were re-elected. The group was evenly split between Democrats and Republicans. They had worked as high-level officials for every president since Ronald Reagan.

A majority of our respondents told us they were alarmed about a potential second Trump term given the strain he put on the legal system the first time around. But several dissenters countered that those fears were overblown. One former Trump official predicted that the Justice Department would be led by lawyers like those in the first term — elite, conservative and independent. “It’s hard to be a bad-faith actor at the Justice Department,” he said at the time. “And the president likes the Ivy League and Supreme Court clerkships on résumés.”

Eight months into his second term, Trump has taken a wrecking ball to those beliefs. “What’s happening is anathema to everything we’ve ever stood for in the Department of Justice,” said another former official who served in both Democratic and Republican administrations, including Trump’s first term.
