that young man needs to be on the field every time the offense takes a snap. i don't care what position he's playing.
I think you may be right...wonder how he'd be at right tackle? hmmm...that young man needs to be on the field every time the offense takes a snap. i don't care what position he's playing.
I see no relation:conf3:but , survey says ....... wrong . USAF .I assume you've never been in the military.![]()
There are some negative recruiting tidbits concerning Croom that will never be posted publicly on these boards. Croom said a whole lot to a whole lot of people, and the John's incident is part of a much broader pattern. The fact that Croom felt it necessary to comment on how Alabama might, or might not, use Johns is low rent. Croom has absolutely no basis for commenting on what Shula's staff might do because he doesn't know He burned his bridges here four years ago.Croom should not have said that publically but is it that far from what everyone was thinking? Has JJ played QB other than maybe a direct snap running play here or there? (maybe he has, I really don't know) Obviously Croom thinks JJ's has tremendous talent and wanted him to play for him, so he was not trying to cut him down and say he was no good. There must be mroe to the conversation that I am missing. Since he is such a talent and Croom missed out on him I can understand his frustration, especially if JJ went into recruiting saying that he most wanted to play QB (which would be the only reason I can see for even considering going to MS over AL).... I'm sure someione will set me straight. Thanks.
I'm not sure what games, if any you've been too this year but believe it or not, Hawaii was extremely loud, La Monroe was loud for a while and when we needed to be, were loud during Duke. Now, I'm not saying we were as loud as we've been against UF last year or as loud as we will be against Auburn, but we were loud enough. The stadium will be dead quiet. Students and fans will be hungover wishing they were still asleep. Our stadium hasn't been loud this entire year, and will not be until Auburn comes to town.
11 oclock games are terrible lol
,,,,,,,,jimmy ought to be frustrated about his pass blocking and the playing time issue will take care of its self. he is a stud and im glad he's on our side. he needs to channel all that into improving and help to lift up his team mates and inspiring them to improve as well. he'll get it done . roll tide there is no place for head butts and reckless talk at bama that dosent help your team win.Since JJ has been at Alabama, we have all considered him a very classy guy ... from his desire to play whatever position it took to get on the field and help the team ... to his willingness to play second wheel to Darby.
Without taking away from that at all, this year it has also become apparent that he is wound pretty tight ... witness the head butt and these remarks on Croom.
It's easy for us to say he should take out his frustrations on the field ... and that is what needs to happen. But the fact is he doesn't get that many opportunites ... which I'm sure only causes the frustrations to build.
This is not a slap at Coach Shula, nor a rehashing of the dozen Johns/Darby threads ... just an attempt to understand what JJ is going through.
Being one of the best athletes on either side of the field, and having to more or less "wait your turn" ... that builds tension on Saturdays rather than releasing it. JJ is a player, and he is used to playing.
Jimmy Johns has been a blessing to the Tide ... and much brighter days are ahead for him.
Darn tootin......Heck, I say let Johns play the entire game. He could beat MSU single handed.![]()

Maybe someone should arrange for him to speak with Shaun Alexander. SA went through the same thing while at the Capstone.Being one of the best athletes on either side of the field, and having to more or less "wait your turn" ... that builds tension on Saturdays rather than releasing it. JJ is a player, and he is used to playing.
Amen Brother, play it again. The DOGS may play us close, in fact I figure they beat the spread, but Croom is way in over his head at Miss State. As another poster has said, he still harbors ill feeling because he didn't get the BAMA job. I for one am glad, we have Mike Shula in place of Mr. CroomWasn't part of Croom's unspoken point last year about this race-related? Some kind of "Bama doesn't want a black quarterback" BS? He has had a beef ever since he wasn't hired at HC and insinuated then that that was race related as well..Maybe I'm remembering something else but I think it was this...
As far as JJ not being classy...any other player that was playing second string behind someone who wasn't exactly getting the job done and still wasn't getting to play would have started jawing off to the media by now...the fact that he hasn't shows that he is a real team player...His comments here make me want to see him succeed even more, and I may be the only person, but I will be on my feet screaming as loudly as I can with his comments in mind this Saturday.
