Trump's Policies XI

Q: Can you talk about the legal authority under which the federal govt pauses legally obligated funds, such as Medicaid?

JD VANCE: Congress appropriates the money. We're the ones who actually make sure it actually goes to the people it ought to go to.

If this illegal act is allowed, then any appropriations bill is worthless. Trump and his lackeys can punish his political opponents by withholding funds designated for blue states. Even if you don't like Medicaid spending, any person who cares about the law has to oppose this move.

Trump, seeking executive power over elections, is urged to declare emergency

Activists who say they are in coordination with the White House are circulating a draft executive order that would unlock extraordinary presidential power over voting.

Pro-Trump activists who say they are in coordination with the White House are circulating a 17-page draft executive order that claims China interfered in the 2020 election as a basis to declare a national emergency that would unlock extraordinary presidential power over voting.

President Donald Trump has repeatedly previewed a plan to mandate voter ID and ban mail ballots in November’s midterm elections, and the activists expect their draft will figure into Trump’s promised executive order on the issue. The White House declined to elaborate on Trump’s plans.

And there's a specific law against what he's proposing...

People in MN pay taxes to fund Medicaid, and now the benefit is being taken away. 250 years ago we fought a war against a government trying this crap.

I can't wait to watch this get struck down in court, just like everything the Epstein Administration tries to do.

Could someone explain the man's obsession with McDonald's?
Honestly, no. As far as I'm concerned, McDonald's is good for one thing and one thing only: the Filet-O-Fish sandwich which I sometimes have to go with on Lenten Fridays. Outside of that......Well, it's still usually a clean place to pee if the need strikes and you still have a hundred miles to go on the interstate.

It's a guilty pleasure of mine. I enjoy some mcnuggets when they're hot from the fryer and crispy and some fresh hot fries. Also can't go wrong with the cold crisp sodas from their fountain drink machine.

Back when I still drank sugary sodas, I was absolutely convinced that McDonald's Coke tasted differently than everyone else's. I absolutely loved em!

Before I contracted alpha gal and could still ingest mammal, I loved their french fries (theirs are fried in beef tallow), I thought theirs were better than other fast food, with the exception of Chick-Fil-A's waffle fries, which have to be eaten warm out of the bag. (They won't even sell their ffs for delivery)...

NEW: President Trump hints at a "friendly takeover" of Cuba:

"The Cuban government is talking with us. They’re in a big deal of trouble, as you know. They have no money, no anything right now."

"Maybe we’ll have a friendly takeover of Cuba. We could very well end up having a friendly takeover Cuba.”

We already have a Puerto Rican albatross around our necks; we don't need another one. I like good cigars as much as the next guy, but not THIS much.

It's crazed, is what it is. I guess he'll want Cuba carved on his new triumphal arch...
