So l guess it’s fair to say that Trump’s solution to the threatened liquidity of Social Security is to just get us all killed so we don’t have to worry about it.
Actually, it doesn't work that way. The ages of the persons getting killed are those who are paying in to defray the costs of those of us drawing it...

If it gets that broad, I have a feeling SS will be the least of our worries... :)

This sidetrack reminds me of a (fantasy) discussion in a Lewis Grizzard column.

Leading up to the Gulf War (1991), he said he heard two guys talking. One said to the other, "They ought to bring all those young guys home and let them make babies with their women. They ought to be sending old guys like you and me to fight this war. We have more experience, and we're gonna die sooner anyway."

Second guy:
"You're an idiot."

this is no bueno

Gee, who could have suspected this except, you know, EVERYONE.

Guess what else exists within the borders of the USA and might attack American civilians with bombs blowing up buildings? (Folks want to pretend none of that stuff exists here, we're safe).

I wonder what the MAGA excuse will be when we find out that the reason Putin has been able to communicate American targets to Iranians is because of the classified material the First Felon left DC with and stored in his Al Capone mansion?

The National Rifle Association acted as a "foreign asset" for Russia in the period leading up to the 2016 election, according to a new investigation unveiled Friday by Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore.

Drawing on contemporaneous emails and private interviews, an 18-month probe by the Senate Finance Committee's Democratic staff found that the NRA underwrote political access for Russian nationals Maria Butina and Alexander Torshin more than previously known — even though the two had declared their ties to the Kremlin.
