Regardless of the truth behind Platner's tattoo (I'm much more frustrated by his old Reddit posts), it appears deeply hypocritical. The lack of self-awareness from Warren is distressing.

All have endorsed Platner. So funny to recall my time in New England and their obsession with racism and Rebel flags down South.
As I said above, the tattoo BY ITSELF.....well, I might be willing to spot him some grace if that was all it was. It's not impossible for him to have had it removed, but he has chosen to not do so. But he's been on programs admitting to saying stuff in his 20s and 30s.
We live in a world where saying something racist AS A TEEN means you lose access to any sort of future. And while I'm not trying to minimize it, WE ALL SAID STUPID THINGS as a teen, I'm just lucky enough there wasn't social media.
But I don't recall any of these Democratic politicians sticking themselves into a hornet's nest of, "What can we do to have a positive outcome" for an obvious reason: there's nothing in it for THEM personally.
For the record, I wasn't for the cancellation of people in the wake of the Charlie Kirk assassination. But you can damn betcha if a 17-year-old gets a scholarship and then says something stupid on social media doesn't deserve an opportunity at redemption then a guy posting crap in his 30s doesn't need to be in the US Senate.
I recall the night that Kyler Murray won the Heisman and all of a sudden some tweets when he was TWELVE YEARS OLD were dug up by a jerk. They call it "resurfacing," but none of those things come to the surface without dragging the bottom of the river to find the dead ones in the first place.
