I came to say the same exact thing. Money has ruined college athletics
Our pitching held them to 2 runs, even with the screw up in the top of the 7th. It's just sad that we couldn't muster even a single run to help them out. I guess we still need a hitting coach.
Well... Bama was predicted to finish 9th in the SEC. To make it to the semi-finals defied expectations. Thanks ladies for a fun season and thanks for all your work during the season and off-season.

I think this would be easier to swallow if it were to another team. Nevertheless, it was a good season, and I've been saying all year we have a 2 year window for a natty, so all is not lost. Just gotta use this as motivation and get back to the grind.
1) Great season especially based on the past 11 years and the perception of the program. Finally a true step forward towards where we should be.
2) We are still cursed with Final Fours. We have the Buffalo Bills and Atlanta Braves bad luck that is just unexplainable. Just softball and what ifs. We just have to find a way to get past it.
3) A lot to build on. Maybe it will be like 2010 and 2011 where we just got better as a program pushing towards a championship.
4) Dominant pitching can quite a lineup. We both had it, but they hit 1 or 2 balls more than us. Sucks but it’s just part of it.
5) Hopefully the guys can get to Omaha to make it easier to swallow. I honestly don’t care who wins between Tech and Texas. Will not watch a pitch.

Alabama, regardless of what some will say, had a fantastic season. Kudos to Murph who didn’t get killed by the keyboard warriors and sports talk jockeys, and produced a great year. Depending on what happens, we have all of our pitching back and most of the players on defense minus a couple. We just lost to a fat POC who had a bought and paid for roster. I’m sure Texas spent a bunch as well but they aren’t as open about it as Tech. If something isn’t done, college sports are dead. Congratulations Ladies on a great year.
I know it ended in a sour note, but I really gotta tip my hat to this team. I've watched every weekend series since Florida State, and they've really been a pleasure to watch. I've been counting down the days till football season, and they actually made me stop counting for the last few weeks, because I was just so excited to watch them. Even basketball couldn't do that. Thanks for the ride, Coach Murph and Team 30! I will now be counting down the days till next year, just like I do with football.
Hate it we lost the way we did, but I have a question and I apologize if it has been addressed somewhere and I missed it.
Where is Texas Tech getting all of this money for NIL/Portal? I don't follow any sport as closely as I did a few years ago, but I see now that not only did they buy their football team but they bought a softball team as well? I never knew of Texas Tech having deep pockets. Do they just have several alumni in the oil business or something?

They have uber investors in their program. But the reason it’s so noticeable in softball is because no one spends alot of money in women’s sports. There really is no money in doing so, but they are doing it to win some national championship.
They can’t do it in baseball because there are far more teams that are super committed in baseball, and far more variables that could end your season in the regionals to spend that much. Low risk in doing in softball
Rumor is they spent 15 million on softball. That's unbelievable.
Who really knows. We know atleast 5 million which in itself is insane for a women’s sports team. None of the remaining 16 baseball teams have anyone close to making a million if NIL reporting is accurate.
