It doesn't mean much. Tyler Love had all his teams with equal interest, however, before he committed it had Florida at the top. It must be a glitch or something.
Yeah no worries with Star. Miami already has two QB commits this year in Taylor Cook and Jacory Harris (Elite 11 QB camper). From reading all of Star's updates, he sounds like his mind is made up and he is just waiting to announce. I believe we'll get some good news on September 4. ;)

Or, maybe Rivals and Scout just have no clue and are guessing as to what an 18 yr old kid is thinking. While these two services do a pretty durn good job of evaluating 1000's of HS athletes, they have been known to be wrong. The colleges rarely share what they are thinking with these services. Miami could have a private communique with Jackson (a silent commit). Or, maybe Bama does. We won't know until he makes it public.... Otherwise we are all guessing!!!

The best way to tell is to read the updates. In all the articles I've read on Star Jackson, I've never heard him mention Miami. But you're right, until he announces his decision no one really knows.

It's the posts of the moderators about SJ that lead me to believe it's a one team race already. It would be a nice couple of days to snag Cordy Glenn, destroy WCU, then pick up Star Jackson after the holiday weekend. Here's to that happening!

It would seem right now as if that is very likely to happen, and a nice few days it indeed would be! :biggrin2: :BigA:

He has made his decision. His mind has been made up since his elite 11 camp. According to people close to the situation he told three players that have since committed to us that he is coming to Alabama. The school that was giving us competition was WV however he said that he wants to go to a school where he is going to be able to throw the ball more. That fits our offense a lot better. There is a chance he ends up going to WV but like I said a couple of 4 star recruits that just committed have said he is coming to play for us.

I can't find any info on Star Jackson's injury in the South Florida newspapers or the recruiting sites. You have to think it is not serious or something would have come out about it.

Lake Worth Community High Team Page
FOOTBALL PRESEASON JAMBOREE (8/24):

LAKE WORTH 26, CENTENNIAL 23: Roosevelt Watson and Douglas Perry combined for over 200 rushing yards and Star Jackson was 5-of-11 for 121 yards passing for the Trojans.
Star Jackson on rise for Lake Worth
After being singled out as one of the top quarterbacks in the state, Jackson has heard from nearly every major Division I school in the country. He has narrowed his list to Alabama, West Virginia, Auburn and South Florida.

Jackson plans to announce his decision in early September, but it appears that he is leaning toward Alabama. Ask him about the Crimson Tide and a smile will cross his face.

At first this attention was new and exciting, but now Jackson admits he has toned down his approach to the overwhelming attention.

Thanks HuntsvilleTider, great article. Sounds like the kind of leader you want as your quarterback. I like articles that talk about the person and not just their stats.

Star tipped his hand a bit on BOL and I am 100% confident he is coming to Alabama. Not only 100% but probably 100000%.

It was something to the effect of: He is only going to take 2 visits, one to WVU to just check it out because he'll probably only have one chance and the second will be an official visit to Alabama

He's ours, who's next?

Oh, and The injury was also just cramps from not hydrating.
