Dennis Erickson won the national title during his first year at Miami in 1989. I remember that one well b/c I was at the Sugar Bowl when Miami beat Alabama 33-25 and then won the title. -

I wonder how some posters here would have reacted to Bear Bryant's boot camp at TAMU if they had been Aggies fans when Bryant first arrived in College Station. Autry’s crew living up to its horrible reputation today: several bad calls already against both teams, but the worst had to be the ball spot after UM intercepted the ball before the touchdown throw that got reversed. The crew placed the ball at the wrong 49 yard line! Maybe those 2 extra yards... -
