Epstein Files -- Be Careful What You Demand

The only time I've seen someone with a MAGA hat on it was on TV. I live in an area that is overwhelmingly Republican and I can't recall ever seeing anyone wearing one when I was out and about. YMMV.
I live in an overwhelmingly Republican area as well and I rarely see a MAGA hat anymore. Even the neighborhood Trump flags are almost nonexistent.

I saw a lot more where I previously lived (west TN is extremely red) than where I do now, but even then the men (always men) wearing them were overwhelmingly Baby Boomers.

EPSTEIN BOMBSHELL: my staff is releasing a new report showing JPMorgan Chase executives – all the way to the top – enabled Epstein's sex trafficking operation. You're going to want to read this.

Same. And I live in the “biggest” Trump county in the nation (HuffPost even wrote an article on it)

An astute move by the Senator. This could get interesting.

Banks are required to file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) on transactions that don't look right. There's a more legalistic definition of that, but within pretty wide limits it most often comes back to judgment.

If JPM didn't file SARs despite reason to believe something was amiss with either the source or destination of the funds, that's one set of problems mainly for JPM.

If JPM filed SARs, but the Feds sat on their hands, that's a different set of problems, primarily for the Feds.

It's not nearly as salacious as sexual exploitation of underage girls. But it might be worth paying attention to this one. The personal and institutional consequences of messing up either the reporting or handling of SARs can be serious.

I always remind myself Capone was taken down by the IRS after being arrested multiple times in multiple states for other offenses. Criminals aren't always nailed for their most explosive crimes - sometimes it's a mundane downfall.

FIFY

AI has rendered FB into a slop of fake news. It has literally never been worse. Still, stop reading comments generated by bots and your day will go a lot smoother, I promise. Your faith in humanity might even be restored a little.
The only 'bots' that generated the comments I was referring to were flesh and blood living maga bots.

I've seen a few around here (Md) but you make a good point that those red hats may not be daily wear. Only brought for rallys and similar things. Similar to the hats with tea bags a few years back.

Part of our mandatory training every year.

My patients wear them often, but mainly in my weekly Athens clinic! Less so in Huntsvegas.
