    I think it will eventually be the NFL that takes over college football. Two main conferences, one for the NFC and one for the AFC. The college game will be the farm league for the NFL. Who else has the money to pay the athletes?

    Agreed 100%. This debacle will continue to grow as long as some are left out. The playoff will also continue to be source of first round blowouts due to automatic bids and the won/loss record being the primary criterion.

    I don't think there is a formula now. It's just a matter of time before college football is just the NFL with younger player. Not to be gloom and doom, but we are near the end of the sport we all love. The current system cannot sustain itself.

    The bowls are really meaningless now. Anything other than the playoff is seen as a participation trophy. I hope we don't have any opt outs, but with the attitude displayed by some this year we may be disappointed. The lack of discipline this team has shown at times may be a sign of other problems.

    This has been a problem going on since before we got robbed in 1966. Imperfect men trying to answer an almost impossible question. Trying to solve this, plus giving in to players demands for money and transfers, have tarnished the product to the point it is becoming hard to watch.
