Don't believe Liner made the trip to Miami this weekend, but in any event he was not in Tuscaloosa. Hopefully he just plays it low key from here.

TIFWIW, as I had some interaction with a Barner today who follows recruiting pretty closely. He said that he had heard, and as I said TIFWIW, that Liner was playing some sort of "game" with this whole recruiting process. He (my barner friend) said that although he felt Liner was a better fit at Alabama, that the whole de-commitment thing was just to get people off of his back.

I don't buy it, but this is the world several of the barners are living in...heh

there's no real need to believe or bring up what you hear from AU fans. Most of them are clueless, all of them are pathetic and there's no reason to worry about billy joe the aub thinks about recruiting.

I have similar opinions about all things/people API myself.

Of course I am married to one so there are exceptions from time to time...:biggrin2: I guess she was just too pretty to let that get in the way.

The point is, as delusional as some AU fans are...there are some who know their stuff. My Step-dad lives right outside of Auburn, owns a hunting club, and hunts with Auburn's head of security. He told me when the board met to fire Chizik, who the candidates they wanted were, and how things were going to go down... Just saying...not all of them are idiots, or pathetic... There are those in every fan base..

I do not buy it either because he is getting more people wanting info now that he is decommitted. If he would have stayed committed noone would have questioned anymore than they are now and like now he could cut off the media. The fact he visited UA and then decommitted and canceled his Miami visit says alot. If he was really going to end up at AU he is only hurting their class with decommitting. Lawson hs serious interest in UT and I really do not think Foster would be considering UA and UGA if Liner did not decommit.

I don't think AJ's choice is pathetic either.

My mom is an Auburn fan....I don't find her pathetic.
Dont know youre mom, maybe she's the exceptison but not sorry, and i stand by my point. nothing personal. maybe I should have said the aubs with "inside" info

I have few things in common with the squid-billies but this is one of them.

a healthy dose of mistrust of AU, their fans, and their sources is wise, considering that even their "legitimate media" are liars who provide misinformation and flat out lies when it favors AU or could be harmful to UA. Examples Jeff from rivals, J Hokansen from whatever hole he climbs out of, and basically anyone covering them on Al.com, and I dont have to mention ITAT.

The main reason he went ahead and decommitted was because he wanted to give AU an opportunity to replace him. I know people were saying he was going to wait until signing day to do it because of the pressure of some people in his circle but of course we see how that turned out.

Dee Liner is clearly their double secret commit. All his actions demonstrate this with obviousness that slaps one on the face.

To elaborate on what Chop is saying, you can take an otherwise reasonable individual and when it concerns their barner bias all reason goes out the window. I see it everyday with a couple of guys I work with. Talk MLB and they are reasonable, business stuff they are fine, auburn football and you step off into the abyss. It's flat out crazy.
