2013 road game tickets will be hard to come by

The initial Tide Totals "cut" is out for road game tickets. You need 130 points to get 2 Va Tech tickets and a whopping 900 points  to get a pair of tickets to Auburn, Miss State, or Kentucky.

But the real hot ticket this year is obviously Texas A&M. To get a pair of tickets to that one, you have to have 1,380 points, and the most anyone can order is 6 (as opposed to the usual 10 for the highest tier donors). :eek2:

And where does all that leave me? Pretty much out in the cold with 898 points -- a measley 2 points shy of qualifying for any of the SEC road games. :(

The closest venue for me to watch Bama play outside of when we go to Jerry's world is in BR every other year. It has been a fantasy to be able to drive to a Bama game in less than 2 hours now that I am out of school. I was hoping that A&M would come in to the SEC and be like Missouri and get beat up on at Bryant Denny so I could get cheap easy tickets to the game this year in CS. So much for that.

Money says they come back with a second offer to everyone with Mississippi State and Kentucky tickets like they have done in the past.
Yes and maybe the Auburn game too. 900 points is an exceptionally high cut-off for a game where we will get 10,000 tickets.

Donate $100 to the Crimson Tide Fund and you will get 3 Tide Pride points. I would imagine that if you contacted the ticket office after that donation you would get options for road games. Anyway based on the schedule there will be plenty of cheap tickets at any venue you choose to go to except the A&M game.... that will be an expensive ticket

For the Ole Miss game a few years ago I just went to the Ole Miss site and bought tickets for face from there.
I tried that too. They sold me the tix then about a month before the game they refunded my credit card, rescinded the offer and sold them to "preferred customers." I won't do business with Ole Miss ever.

Bama at TAMU will be a hard ticket to get
Bama fans need to be real cautious about buying tickets for this game. You better know where your seats are at because if you get a student ticket, those kids stand the entire game and do some really weird Aggie stuff. Might make for an interesting time especially for what body part you might have to cough up just to get the ticket.

I'd be really careful on student tickets. The students pull them the week of the game. If someone is selling them before hand with an actual seat location, they are fake. Also, make sure they are converted to a 'guest' ticket. Yes, they stand the entire game and doing 'weird' stuff is putting it nicely! Of course they do suck face with the dude next to them when they score so, if you get between 2 co-eds could be fun should they score once or twice...

I know about donations to the CTF, but points are only calculated twice per year, in February (to determine priority level for fall road game tickets) and in September (to calculation priority for post-season tickets). So a donation now won't push me over the hump for fall road tickets . . .

I did the same as Big Bama-because I live in MS they called and offered me season tickets so that I could see Bama play Ole Miss-dirty pool

They will be expensive. I'm gonna wait til closer to the game to decide if I'll go. If its a day game, forget it. Too hot for me.

You know that will be the 2:30 CBS game... Nothing like mid 90's and 80% humidity... Good news is our team will be conditioned to play in it. We are driving down in the RV Friday AM. If I can't find tickets under $350 I will watch from the parking lot.

For those with RV's, single game parking passes are only sold to lot 88 and go on sale 7/5 and range $70-$90 depending on spot. You must register for a parking account to be able to buy one, when you register you need your SSN, DL#, & RV plate#. One disclaimer I saw is the RV individual game lot is a grass field, should it rain, the lot may be closed. You will get a refund but, have nowhere to park.
