2025 Recruiting: 2025 Recruiting Targets, II

Relax people...this is a whole new world. I've been following recruiting on this site for over 23 years and we have had our ups and downs...even under CNS. Somewhere early in CNS' tenure he did not recruit a record setting QB from somewhere in South Alabama. He was getting roasted somewhat here...heard from a friend on staff that CNS did not think he could play D1 and they had higher ranked recruits from out of state. He went to AU, did not play much, and we had who we needed. Unless you are in Texas or Florida or Cal you can not just recruit your state.
Relax ???

Starting Quarterbacks not from Alabama during the Saban era.

Jalen Hurts - Texas

Mac Jones - Florida

Bryce Young - California

Greg McElroy - California

Tua Tagovailoa - Hawaii

Blake Sims - Georgia

Jalen Milroe - Texas

So JPW and AJM were the only Bama boys.

AJ won two as starter and left with 3 rings.

Now more than ever Alabama is a national brand. Bryant would pull the occasional player from the West Coast or the Midwest, but the most part he started with core in state kids and then focused regionally in the Southeast.

CNS changed that. Like Duke, UNC, Kentucky, Kansas in basketball, the past 15 years Alabama has become the most consistent title contending and title winning program in college football . Add to that the number of players in the NFL during that time, the kids from New York to California know what Alabama offers. I honestly believe two things influenced Coach DeBoer’s decision to take the Alabama job. First, he wasn’t afraid to follow in the footsteps of CNS. Second, Coach DeBoer fully recognized the national brand juggernaut that CNS had built here.

That said, I still also believe there must also be a focus on maintaining that strong core of in-state players in the program. I think the player growing up here, loving all things Crimson Tide, knows truly what wearing that crimson jersey means…something well beyond just playing football. And sometimes that means that player finding something a little deeper inside that leads to that extra effort. And I think CKD knows that.

It will take time for CKD and Courtney Morgan to build the relationships with those in-state coaches and programs, in addition to other hotbeds in Georgia, Florida and Texas. The Right Reverend Sleaze and the Yellow Fellow Posse are trying their best to “make hay while the sun shines”.

Yep, it would be the fastest person in the history of the world on a massive amount of PED's :ROFLMAO:. The other times Ledstepplin posted were all reasonable.
I strongly suspect that the fastest time over a 100 meter distance run by a human being has never been recorded because it happened a long time ago when someone was being chased by something that wanted to eat them.

Right. If they were with a friend, you just gotta outrun the friend! 😁

LOL.
It is funny, but incorrect.
Please take a look at Olympic 100-meter distance runners. Their muscles are too big to have survived long time ago. Humans were long-distance and endurance runners, but to run short distances very fast, one would need to have impractically large muscles for survival.
