Highlight video.
At the 15:03 point of the video, you can see LSU 1st and 10 at the 15 yard line, with 2:40.
Let's say LSU runs the ball. USCw calls its final timeout. LSU runs the ball again, the clock runs down to the two-minute.
LSU runs the ball again, the clock runs down to 1:15. Kick the field goal, 1:10 on the clock. Kick off and USCw has the ball 1st and 10 on the 25 with 70 seconds to play and no timeouts. That right there limits USCw's play selection.
But whatever, keep blaming your players, Brian.
Well, I thought the funniest thing was that, in their two minute offense, USC never had to use that last time-out. They kept getting first downs to stop the clock, then the targeting call stopped the clock, so that last time-out never got called. If USC only has a minute or so left instead of 1:47, it's a different ballgame.

I do not think the result was on the QB. Both QBs played pretty well, at times they both played really well. Recievers were making tough contested catches, sometimes spectacular contested catches.
In the 3rd quarter and the first ten minutes of the 4th quarter, LSU's defense was absolutely smothering the USCw offense. It was like a LSU defensive team meeting in the USCw backfield almost every play. The USCw QB (Moss, I think) one play got hit before he could even make a three step drop.
Then in the latter part of the 4th quarter somebody decided to rush three and drop eight into coverage and the USCw QB picked them apart because he had all day to survey the field.
And LSU players making really dumb emotional plays.
Agreed. Nussmeir is going to be a handful and depending on how the rest of LSWho's season goes can be a Heisman candidate. I was impressed.

Nussmeier I thought played well. He certainly seems to have the football IQ (being a coach's son) and his physical abilities are good as well.
