I don't think AU will be able to talk about our depth chart much anymore. They have also had 2 top 5 classes and signed around 60 the last 2 years. They shouldn't be able to preach early playing time. They are strong 2 deep now too. Competition is back to where it has usually been, even steven. It just so happens we have a better recruiter and coach.
Sure they will. Why should they let the truth stand in the way of recruiting now?

The problem is that the barn (or other schools, but most likely the barn) have gotten into the ears of some of the top players (Kwon Alexander for example) and got them believing how "stacked" we are and that they'd never compete for PT at Bama. As CS mentioned, we are off to a great start with one of the tope 10-15 players in Williams.
Maybe true, but KA has already said he would like to play with RR and JW, so being that RR is already committed and JW probably will (unless MLB comes calling), then IMHO, I think we have a pretty good shot.

Here is what I think, if you are a kid, coming out of high school, and you are supposed to be one of, if not the top player at your position, why would you be afraid of competition? I truly believe that CNS is going to play the 11 best players he has, be it seniors or freshman, come in beat the man at your position and you play. I may be wrong, but to be the best you have to beat the best! If you go to the NFL has the Hiesman winner, you are supposed to be the best and you should not be scared of competition, regardless of which team drafts you, am I right or wrong?

The depth chart issue will continue to be used by other schools but when we have had the #1 class three out of the last 4 years it is a moot point. We may lose the occassional prospect due to the depth we have but great players don't shy away from competition. A prime example is USCw in the 2000's. Pete Carroll consistently signed top 3 classes and at one point had 7 running back HS all-americans on their roster. These guys want to win championships, be on national TV and play pro ball which can be done at elite programs like ours. We will continue to get the best players in the nation and compete for championships every year. RTR!!!!!
