A Florida woman is behind bars after she allegedly attacked a man with a garden hoe for canceling plans with her.
...

The altercation escalated when Davis climbed a fence to his property, pushed through a door and began punching him, investigators said.

At some point, she grabbed the gardening tool and hit him with it, which caused a serious cut on his arm.

First, Crazy didn't age well at all. Sheesh!

Second, I hope you are recovering @Bazza. I would advise you to stay away from Crazy going forward. But, if that's your type, never let Crazy know where you live.

 😁

The lawsuit alleges that Target and its corporate leaders committed stock fraud by downplaying the risk of its DEI practices and by making false and misleading statements in its financial reports and proxy statements. The company downplayed the consumer boycotts that followed the launch of its PRIDE campaign focused on children and families in May and June of 2023, the lawsuit says.

“It featured extensive marketing and products directed to children as young as newborns and highlighted products by a ‘Satanist-inspired’ designer,” the lawsuit claimed. “It embroiled Target in the culture war and caused Target to experience record stock declines and foregone sales, costing investors billions.”

‘Satanist-inspired’ designer? :ROFLMAO: What century is this?

This week in his State of the State speech, Ron DeSantis announced that it was time to get over the Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School shooting--that would be the one in Parkland in which a 19-year-old killed 17 and injured 17 others in the deadliest mass shooting at a high school in US history.

After that shooting, the state put in place a piddly excuse for an attempt to make such horrors less likely, but even that is too much for DeSantis, who specifically wants to get rid of language raising the age to purchase a shotgun or rifle from 18 to 21 and also the red flag law that lets family members or law enforcement petition the court to remove someone's firearms id they are risk to themselves of others. You know-- like maybe a 19 year old with a long history of racism and fascination with mass shootings.

Although I generally dislike red-flag laws, Florida's RPO seems well-thought out and unlikely to ever be abused. I get that there's an argument that they violate due process and constitutional rights, I'm not sure I agree.

Florida's Plan to Replace Migrant Workers With Children Falls Apart

A bill that would have loosened child labor laws in Florida has died in the state Senate.

The proposal came as Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, a Republican, touted using teenagers as a replacement for the labor of migrants who are in the country illegally.

Finally, some good political news I can post from Florida!
