Would be the best spot for him if he starts. I assume he'd have to compete for a job there though.
He is not going to be named the outright starter anywhere. Wherever he goes, he will have competition.

A lot of the beat reporters are saying AJ and his agent are asking for a pretty high contract for someone that has played so little and was drafted extremely low. Those were beat writers for the Broncos, Browns, and Bills

At this point probably. But Denver would likely have more competition than others. I think it could be the hardest job for him to win.

Yeah, I heard that he was asking for starter money. If he really believes that he is a starter, he should accept a lower guarantee contract with tons of opportunity to earn performance bonuses. If he isn't that confident, he needs to get his agent to back off. An agent can wreck this for him.

That's pretty absurd if true. But, I would bet its a half truth kind of thing. What constitutes "starter money" nowadays? There have been some pretty high paid backups in recent years..

I like the Broncos as a sort of legacy program, but looking at their roster offensive right now I'm not sure I'm all that impressed.

Emmanuel Sanders and Demariyus Thomas both underperformed the past few seasons - neither went over 1,000 yards last year. Even with the woes at QB I think they have a sub-par #1 & #2 receiver lineup, both are on or going on year 10 in the league, both are now over 30 years old - they need fresh blood at that position.

CJ Anderson just cracked 1,000 yds rushing but they need a better changeup than Devontae Booker.

To be honest there aren't a lot of weapons there for McCarron to work with should he go, but the Broncos alway find a way to bounce back and stay fairly relevant.
In my opinion, McCarron is a guy who can get the most out of a team's offense, making wise decisions where to go with the ball and getting it there on time and acurately. But I DON'T think he is a generational QB like Newton or Brees or Rogers who can elevate a mediocre team to a decent season.

Does someone with more intimate knowledge of the Broncos have a better breakdown?

Again, That's why I believe he and Arizona may have agreed to something but isn't saying anything until tomorrow.

Looks like the Broncos are a no go for AJ...

I'm not sure if this isn't a blessing in disguise for AJ. I don't know much about their HC but they looked absolutely awful last season. There were times it looked borderline dysfunctional. I'd hate for AJ to have gone there, they go 5-11 again or worse, HC gets fired and there he is in the mess and wasted time of transition.

Re: AJ McCarron Wins Grievance Against Bengals and Will Become Free Agent

Seems like this is working out to be a tough year for McCarron in free agency. Some years he would've been one of the best "actually available" QBs on the market (once you take out guys like Brees who very clearly will resign). The way things bounced this year, a lot of teams with good but not great starting QBs have decided to move on and that has hurt a free agent QB like McCarron who usually has his pick of the litter amongst teams needing a stop-gap veteran QB.

The names getting mentioned ahead of AJ makes me think it's deja vu all over again for him. Just like when he was at Bama, he is being under-appreciated for his skills. I believe the dude is nothing but a winner and would help just about any team that signed him. JMO.

Maybe Greg McElroy will go on another radio show and reiterate why AJ isn't being picked up. LOL!

So the Jets will likely sign Bridgewater and that leaves the Cardinals...right?

And Ian Rapoport is reporting the Cardinals are going to be very interested in Mike Glennon tomorrow once he is officially released.

This isn't looking good for AJ at all. If they keeps up, AJ may have to sign one year deal and compete hard somewhere.

You do what you have to do. He's 27 years old, so though he's no spring chicken, he's not in the twilight of his career either. The main thing for AJ is getting on the field to play. If he has to sign a 1 year deal to do that, then so be it. But you're right, things really aren't going his way.
