Re: AJ McCarron Wins Grievance Against Bengals and Will Become Free Agent
I like the Broncos as a sort of legacy program, but looking at their roster offensive right now I'm not sure I'm all that impressed.
Emmanuel Sanders and Demariyus Thomas both underperformed the past few seasons - neither went over 1,000 yards last year. Even with the woes at QB I think they have a sub-par #1 & #2 receiver lineup, both are on or going on year 10 in the league, both are now over 30 years old - they need fresh blood at that position.
CJ Anderson just cracked 1,000 yds rushing but they need a better changeup than Devontae Booker.
To be honest there aren't a lot of weapons there for McCarron to work with should he go, but the Broncos alway find a way to bounce back and stay fairly relevant.
In my opinion, McCarron is a guy who can get the most out of a team's offense, making wise decisions where to go with the ball and getting it there on time and acurately. But I DON'T think he is a generational QB like Newton or Brees or Rogers who can elevate a mediocre team to a decent season.
Does someone with more intimate knowledge of the Broncos have a better breakdown?
