Surprised that neither Mac Jones or AJ McCarron received votes.

Thought Najee would get a mention.

Tough WR voting when none of the Ride Outs get votes but Smitty.

I could go on but it would have been better to do a 1st and 2nd and maybe a 3rd team for every group.

Crazy disrespect at so many positions.

I have no issue with the names listed or anything but a lot of arguments could be made to include others.

Samuels would technically end in 99 and therefore not eligible correct?

Love Dickerson but Kelly is probably the best center.

Ryans over Foster at LB for me is an easy choice.

Corners take your pick.

Safeties are right.

I would put Amari Cooper ahead of Julio just because he was the leading WR until Smitty showed up.

Im not sure OJ Howard was our best TE during this era...

I dont really think the list is all that accurate imo.

Who would you say then?

I agree it's Howard but largely because there's not really anyone else like him. The candidates - MAYBE - are Nick Walker, Michael Williams, Irv Smith Jr, and Cameron Latu. I might have missed one or two. I LIKED Terry Jones Jr and thought he was built like a 90s tight end, but he kept getting hurt and played for some really bad teams.

I don't think either of the corners is correct, and I'd take Eddie Jackson over Mark Barron myself.

And without meaning any disrespect, I suspect Mark Ingram's selection as an RB has more to do with his winning the Heisman than anything else. I'm not saying those are "wrong," but I can see other candidates who are probably as good if not better.

This type of article is designed to create controversy, debate, and therefore clicks.

Regardless of who you think was best at what position since 2000, there are legitimately multiple options. Unless you’re just absolutely off the reservation, there is no truly wrong answer.

We have been incredibly blessed.

Reggie Ragland over Reuben Foster. Ragland was the 2015 SEC Defensive Player of the Year.

This statement is factually incorrect stating that Reuben Foster was SEC Defensive Player of the Year: “McClain, Foster, and Mosley have a combined five first-team All-SEC honors, three unanimous All-American selections, and each of them have been named SEC Defensive Player of the Year while at Alabama.”

Alabama quarter century team.

Thoughts???

Overall I like the list. I’d swap Chris Samuels with Andre Smith.
Almost an impossible task to narrow most of the positions down because we've had an embarrassment of riches at every position except for kicker and punter.

I'd quibble that Ryan Kelly might have been the better choice at center, although I LOVE Landon Dickerson. I probably would have gone with Kelly.

And interestingly, the only unanimous pick was the player who was most criminally underused of all of these players; OJ!!!

It's like asking an Alabama fan which national championship is his favorite.........very few schools have that problem.......:)

1978 - my first
1979 - admittedly took this for granted
1992 - nobody saw it coming
2009 - back on top
2011 - the tornado made this necessary
2012 - killing Notre Dame
2015 - "Bama is dead? Nope!"
2017 - "we'll beat you with our backup!"
2020 - healing - so much healing....

Brad Smelley was as good as any.
