OFFENSIVE TACKLE: Kadyn Proctor (76), Wilkin Formby (48), Michael Carroll (28), Olaus Alinen (1) (no offensive snaps: Jackson Lloyd) (not in uniform: Arkel Anugwom, Casey Poe)

OFFENSIVE GUARD: Kam Dewberry (48), Geno VanDeMark (47), Jaeden Roberts (40), William Sanders (18) (not in uniform: Roq Montgomery, Micah DeBose)

CENTER: Parker Brailsford (76) (no offensive snaps: Joseph Ionata) (not in uniform: Mal Waldrep)

Regarding OT, Formby should be benched based on previous play and todays play. Crazy thing is they keep playing him after he screws up. Carroll has played pretty well I think.

I wonder if Formby would make a better guard ? He just gives up too much with speed rushers off the edge. I seem to recollect that Formby at G and Carrol at RT was a pretty good arrangement.
He got snaps at guard last week iirc and it did not go well.

Unfortunately I think we need someone to step up and take his place.

It’s interesting that we are half way through the season and we are still fiddling with the best group. Grubb said they are still trying to figure out the best 5, but I’m assuming there will be a rotation all season. I think the best 5 are Proctor, Brailsford, Carroll, Dewberry and Vandemark. Roberts just isn’t great at pass protection and Formby can’t move well.

Another post about the offensive line struggling. The group is average. Average is going to struggle against good/very good.

Folks blasting Formby for struggling with the outside rush don’t seem to see that Proctor does as well.

You start at the bottom: coaching. Different guys, same struggles seems to point to coaching or evaluating the players.

Go from there.

I don't think Proctor or Formby either have the foot speed to play the OT position optimally in the SEC. I also think that we will change the roster going forward, but didn't really have anyone that much better this year. Carroll and Loyd are both very promising...

I'm glad we are rotating players across the board. Not only at OL either. Will pay dividends going forward.
Yep, I’m excited to see the younger players in the game, and not just in garbage time. Loved the catch Meadows made before he was assaulted. And the catch Brooks made on 4th down was a thing of beauty. seems every game we have 7-8 players with catches.

I don’t think the Oline chart is correct. KP took 76 snaps, but not all at Tackle

I think they line them up too tight. When the edge guy goes way wide is when they struggle. I think they’ve tightened em up to slow down interior penetration hoping that Ty will step up or get rid of the ball before the edge can get to the quarterback.

Did you see KP run the wildcat? So impressive . I don’t think it is a physical thing with KP as I thought before, I think it is coaching. He needs to work on kick steps , side steps and drop steps. I too once believed he was too slow, but watching his agility in his play packages is impressive. His acceleration after the snap was incredible for a guy that size. We should have ran the same play again from the one instead of messing around and not scoring a TD.

They should certainly have that figured out by now.

I think it’s an average O line. Have to help them with excellent play calling, which we’ ve pretty much had IMO.

I should amend my thoughts to say, I think Proctor is a very talented guy, just needs to get down to about 340-345... I am no expert, but he is just massive and you can't move that much bulk. Maybe a trim 350...

I think that would give him the extra half step of speed to keep him in the NFL for a decade. Seems to be a hard worker and a team player for sure!
