I'm still not convinced that Meyer's spread option offense will work in the SEC. Last year Coach Kines ripped apart the Gators offense with multiple looks and had Chris Leak looking dumbfounded. Yes, we do have younger players on "D", but we also have the brains operating our defense. If we can get our offense going with more passing, I say we win 21-17.

I am having a hard time predicting this game. It depends so much on if we play a perfict game or not (fumbles, penelties in red zone, special teams play, or defence stopping the run. Last year the way we were playing and Fla was, I would have said a close game but what do I know.

whoever is picking either team to win in a shootout may want to rethink that, IMO. florida only gives up 8 points a game and around 240 yards of offense against us. as for our offense, we have looked good at times and bad at times.

i believe that one of three things will happen...you guys win in a close one, say 17-13; we win in a close one much like the UT game...20-14. or we pull away at home...30-10.

of course if things turn out the way they did last year....:eek2:

IMO, it is time to let this team win or lose on their merits. Stop handicapping them and expect more from them. .

I couldn't agree more. With a loss in the conference now is the time to find out what we've got. If we are going to ratchet up expectations for next year it's time to let the players know what is expected. It's funny how people in general, and especially athletes, will respond when challenged. Set the bar high for this game, and take the handcuffs off. Find out who the real players are and stop playing like we are outmanned. Take the attitude that we are the best team and go out there and prove it. If this happens I can see a good result. Keep em handcuffed and they will eventually lose their edge, like the smart kid in school who is no longer challenged and loses interest. My gut says we "grow up" saturday.

What if Alabama beat Florida 39-21...with UF scoring a late TD to make it look respectable?

I recall a game UF played against LSU in 2002 in the Swamp. 36-7 I believe it was. UF made a bunch of mistakes and LSU took advantage.

This team has so many talented players. I can't help but think that this team will not come together and play an A- game against one of the better teams in the country, in their house. John Parker Wilson, Keith Brown, DJ Hall, Ken Darby, Jimmy Johns, Antoine Caldwell, Andre Smith, Juwan Simpson, Simeon Castille, Ramzee Robsinson, Jeramy Clark, Jamie Chrsitenson, Javier Arenas...are you seriousl!??!

This team is GOOD. And this team SHOULD give Florida an absolute run for their money.

I do not expect a W honestly. But I do expect this team to come out and push Florida to the absolute limit. We will play hard...and with our talent...come on...it's not that unreasonable.

Crowd noise and atmosphere only gets you so far. If Florida has a fast start it could be a long day for Bama, just like UF last year in BD Stadium...but if Bama maintains their composure and remains confident throughout the 1st half...this game is going to be very, very close.
