Finebaum had a Tennessee talk show host and a Memphis sports writer on his program this week. Both seemed to think Bama fans were obsessed to continue to be upset about the Logan Young case and think that Fulmer was not totally in the wrong in the things he did.
I can accept Tennessee folks siding with Fulmer, but to think that he was not in this thing for any other reason other than to stop any cheating Bama was doing is totally dellusional. I think when the suit finally goes to trial, we will see (if we already haven't) how the NCAA conveniently dropped investigations into UT wrongdoings at the same time Fulmer was spouting off false and very questionable accusations against Bama.
The NCAA can say that only creditable information is figured into the sanctions all they want, but accusations heighten suspicions and eventually affect sanctions.
I truthfully think Bama folks just want the truth to be told and for a fair and impartial jury to render a decision that will clarify exactly what happened during this witch hunt. Though nothing can undo the harm brought to UA by the unfair practices of the NCAA and the SEC office, an impartial jury rendering a decision that certain parties were guilty of mishandling their positions if not conspiring to destroy a football program will open the eyes of the sports world that the NCAA, the SEC office, and others abused their positions and must be held in check by a system that is fair and equitable to all member institutions. Stepping in and siding with a particular institution and becoming involved in a cospiratory manner, for any reason, in a booster war is not in the guidelines for the FBI, the NCAA or the SEC office.
May justice be done. If this is obsession -to simply want the truth to be told, guilty parties punished, and damaged, innocent parties be compensated, then put me down is being an obsessed Bama fan. I'm sorry UT, I'm just a little sick of your arrogance and self-righteous attitude and hope that every ounce of truth comes out and that you will be totally unmasked and shown to be anything but the "shining beacon on the hill." The only way that this is true is if that hill is slap dab in the middle of hell itself.
