If that happens (Bama wins Iron Bowl but the barn wins SECCG), then here's what I'd love to see:

BCS Championship Game: Oregon vs Boise State
- Oregon absolutely creams BSU

Sugar Bowl: Barn vs TCU
- the Barn absolutely creams TCU

This would all but relegate future non-AQ teams' BCSCG hopes to the waste paper bin.


And, while we're at it, I'd like to see this as well:

• Nebraska loses to Oklahoma in the Big 12 Title game
• Michigan State loses to Penn State
• Ohio State loses to Iowa
• Wisconsin loses to either Michigan or Northwestern
• Florida State wins the ACC
• Stanford loses to Cal or Oregon State
• LSU loses to Arkansas

That's quite a list, but it guarantees a 10-2 Alabama a BCS Bowl.

I like all of your list. If AU and Oregon don't meet for the title, I would really like to see your prediction come to fruition.

While I agree that they should, the BCS is all about timing. If you lose early in the season, you can recover from the loss, but there's no way they can come back from a loss as late in the season as the iron bowl. If we beat them, they will move down to ~7-9, and we will probably be boosted above them.

The BCS has really allowed teams to ability to lose late and still get into the BCS Championship Game. As mentioned, LSU did it in 2007. OU did it LATER than the last week of the regular season, losing to KSU in the 2003 Big 12 Title Game 35-7. Granted, the Sooners got in because of the huge buffer they had made in the standings, but losing late is not always an end to title hopes. If Auburn does lose to us and beats USCe, I think there's a great chance that they make it (unless we beat the brakes off of them).
