Ironically, isn't that basically what the teams are doing right now?For starters answered the fan question like EVERY other sports league did and seriously explore the bubble option like EVERY league has.

Maybe you know something the rest of us don't know but isn't prognosticating about not playing in 2021 or even 2022 (like you've done in other threads) ignoring that vaccines are in trial stages right now? Do you not believe a vaccine will work? The whole "we will play in the spring" is about like our white helmets. You keep hearing rumors that they may make return for one game and one game only but you know it isn't ever actually going to happen. For one thing, there is no guarantee that there will be college basketball in 2021. If there isn't basketball, then that means that it's still too dangerous out there for sports. So..how could there possibly be football? And if it's safe enough for basketball, then why play football? If/when basketball is allowed to return, it will need all the eyes that it can get, so if football is being played in March....well....won't that detract a bit from basketball? Not to mention the whole plethora of other issues related to playing in the spring. NFL draft, spring practice, including spring games once again won't happen, etc. Plus...how realistic is it to play March-May and again September-January?
FIFYFields is on the phone now begging Kirby to transfer back to UGA...
I am optimistic about a vaccine. I just don't know if one can be available in time to have sports back by next year. Plus, and this is just my .02, but all these cancellations set a brand new precedent. Hypothetically, what happens if another virus strikes? Will the approach be different? Or does society deem it necessary to just yank everything every single time now? I just hope that cancellations aren't the new "go to" response. Then again, we may never see another cancellation again after this year. In which case, I'd be very pleased. I don't ever want to hear the word cancel again once we get past all this.Maybe you know something the rest of us don't know but isn't prognosticating about not playing in 2021 or even 2022 (like you've done in other threads) ignoring that vaccines are in trial stages right now? This is not the first time nor will it be the last that single games or potentially seasons will be cancelled. It's happened in other pandemics and in wars. I do hope it's the last in our lifetimes for any reason.I am optimistic about a vaccine. I just don't know if one can be available in time to have sports back by next year. I like Alabama, but my life will be just fine without football. That's reality. You telling me Saturdays in September thru November without football isn't a "big" part of your life?
I'm not arguing we can't live without it OR even it's the most important part of life (far from it). But to say it's "NOT" a big part of life seems out of touch with reality.
Mine too. I've got a senior in high school this year. I'm going to enjoy that as best I can and not worry about football.I like Alabama, but my life will be just fine without football. That's reality.
OK, I respect that.I like Alabama, but my life will be just fine without football. That's reality.
Didn’t Sankey say today the SEC won’t play if the other conferences don’t?I never really thought that some P5 conferences would not play and some would - in my mind it's been all or nothing.
Now I'm not sure. I think if they think they can pull it off, the SEC will play, even if they're the only conference that does.
