Bama Should be Top 5 Sleeper

What Bama has going for it like it did since our last great season in 99 or maybe more so is:

1. A very favorable homefield schedule.
2. Catching the SEC when there are alot of coaching changes and ?'s with
teams that lost alot of talent due to eligibility or the NFL.
3. Bama returns a veteran QB, a very good running attack, and great WR's.
4. Bama returns maybe the best Defense in the country.
5. This team has now been in Shula's system for 3 years.
6. We have a top notch S&C program with state of the art facilities.

All of these reasons are why we are going to make a run for the SEC this year and hopefully on to a BCS bowl. Believe me, we aren't a sleeper to the rest of the SEC, maybe just the media.

At no time was Bama in position to go up 20-6 in that game.

Maybe not 20-6, but it was 17-6 I believe. We were up 10-6, when Spencer threw the fade route to Keith Brown which would have put us up 17-6, and he was pushed down by Webster, and picked off, and no call. 20-6, 17-6, doesnt matter, would have been awfully difficult for LSU to come back on our D. Would have been a completly diffferent ballgame.

We lost. I am tired of counting games that we lost as so-called wins. Let's just win them from now on.

Read my entire post. I was respondin the guy that said out of all the games we lost, LSU is the only one he thinks we would have lost had everyone been healthy. I disagreed, because we were in position to win it last season, until the BS no call, and if every one had been healthy thats a game I feel we win fairly easy.

Call me crazy or what ever but if the Tide stays healthy the entire season the team will play for a National Championship in the ROSE BOWL.
Crazy. I hope you're right, but we're still a couple of years from having the depth problems solved. We're going to be dependent on several young and inexperienced players for another couple of years. While it is true there are some new coaches in the conference lsu and florida are LOADED. Uthug returns a lot of talent, and auburn still returns several key players. Not to mention arkansas and usc won't be gimmes. IMO we finish around 8-4 the next couple of years, and barring anything stupid like a coaching change, in 2007 we come out and seriously challenge for the whole thing. If it happens to be earlier all the better. Don't mean to sound pessimistic, but trying to think without my crimson glasses.

I was not really looking at you when I said it but all of those Alabama friends of mine and people I hear talking about moral victories.

I want actual ones now as I am sure every Alabama fan does
