All I know is this team is very very good & getting better every week. When AJ his some of the long balls I just don't see anyone who can keep up with this team. No one wants to play Bama.

good for you. i wish more people took that attitude. i've never agreed with smack talk... absolutely pointless... and the main reason i stick to this board.

I remember Coach Saban saying that was one of his goals when he arrived, to have a big, fast, physical team that NO ONE wants to play. Mission Accomplished!! RTR!!

I knew it, I knew it, I knew it. I called this before the Arkansas game. Every team is great and will beat Bama before the game, after the game they were over rated. I would say it was because all three of these games were blowouts, but LSU still gets credit for beating WVU.

Just remember that before the '46 Rose Bowl all the west coast sports writers said USC would crush us, after a 34-14 blowout by Bama all the same west coast sports writers said USC was over rated. The '93 sugar bowl was the same thing. Bama was supposed to get blown out, we were a 21 point dog according to some sports writers. After a 34-13 beat down by Bama all of the same sports writers claimed, and still claim, that Bama was one of the weakest national champions in NCAA history. This is all just part of being a Bama fan, and it makes us Bama fans stick together even more. Roll Tide.

Even if the teams were overrated, you'd figure at least PSU, Arky and UF would have been closer (indeed, Florida might have if Brantley hadn't gone out, Bama would have won, but it would have been closer). Bama is just a great team, no bones about it.

My Texas Longhorn buddy says the way UF was shredding us early, they would have killed us if Brantley hadn't gotten injured. I guess we got lucky. :wink:

Just tell him that Brantley was already beginning to fade, just as Colt did. The difference is in how long Brantley lasted, contrasted with Colt... :D

I had a few people at work say something similar. I then reminded them that Brantley went out with only 0:35 left in the first half. So, an entire half of "shredding" only got them 10 points. I'll give them another 10 if Brantley hadn't gotten injured so; 38 - 20 is still a decent beat'n.

Bama has defeated 3 teams with a winning record. LSU 2 and Oklahoma NONE. (I did not look up the Tulsa and Kent State records).

All opponents starting QBs have had their moments. None have played the fourth quarter this year.

That's the way it goes when you beat teams the way we do but I haven't heard very much of it over here in Houston, TX. Pretty much everybody here thinks Bama and LSU are legit and the winner of the November showdown in T-town is going to the dance.

Florida rushed for eight yards. EIGHT!!! You can fall forward four times at the line of scrimmage and if you're six feet tall you'll get eight yards.

Arkansas rushed for seventeen. SEVENTEEN!! That defies all logic unless there's a "really" good opponent on the other side.

Btw - that 92 team "hadn't been tested" before we played Tennessee. Then we beat them and we were still called overrated. Then we beat MSU IN STARKVILLE and we were called lucky. Then we beat Florida and were told Florida wasn't that good.

Then we beat Miami and the pollsters had the gall to put FSU second and say the Seminoles would have beaten us (note: even though Miami had beaten FSU head to head).

We were the most disrespected unbeaten national champs in history.

So what?

That beats being "the best team that couldn't win it all" six days a week and twice on Sunday.

He'll tell you right now that Alabama and LSU - in that order - are playing in another universe compared to everyone else.

And here I thought disrespecting Alabama was a recent fad.. :wink: (j/k)

The fact is, the University of Alabama and the Crimson Tide have been disrespected by pretty much the entire country for as long as most of us have been alive, and then some.

They were calling Bear's 60 teams overrated but they continued to beat everyone in their path. Due to politics(which shouldn't be envolved in college athletics) the 1966 team which in my oppion may have been one of Bear's best ever was denied the national championship. That has made me a Notre Dumb hater ever since.

Then why even bother with the SECC or the BCSNC games at all? Let's just play on Nov 5 for all the marbles!! :wink:
