Bama vs. Texas Tech - Go Bama!!

We will need to be on the top of our game tonight. Texas Tech is loaded, mainly due to stealing 15 top prospects from other schools. There's nothing like this modern era of NIL and the open door portal. Who can blame the player. If somebody waived 6 figures at me, I'd have to at least check it out. We need to send the best team money can buy packing tonight!!

I sure hope we don't lose any of the players that we have returning for next year because we could be really good again. IIRC, the #1 pitcher on their staff has made $1,000,000 per year over the past two seasons.

Yes, that's Canady. If I remember correctly, she got a raise to $1.2 million this year, plus a house to live in. The girl they took from Florida, Mia Williams, gets roughly $250,000 per year. Mia Williams is a kid who committed to Florida when she was 12 years, played their for 2 years, then up and left for Texas Tech. I'm assuming she left because the dollars were greener at Tech. The Texas Tech Matador Club is their official NIL program. When Tech lost to Texas in the WCWS finals last, the Tech coach decided he needed more bats, so he started pillaging programs.
 
I'm here in Lubbock and have enjoyed watching TTU softball. But as a 2X Bama grad, I will be pulling for the Tide along with one UA daughter. Wife and oldest daughter are Tech grads. Gonna be fun at my house tonight. I have the shakers strategically placed.

I wonder if we'll get Canady or Terry. In their UCLA game, IMO Terry looked stronger than Canady. Last night Terry did the lion's share of the work but Canady came in to close out the game... and get the lion's share of the credit from the announcers. Gotta' be some interesting locker room dynamics with a team that's so blatantly mercenary. Yes, legal, I suppose.
 
Watching UTe versus UTw. Both teams struggling defensively early but the errors haven’t come back to hurt either team. Scoreless heading to top of third.

Hate both of these teams. It’s watching a fistfight between your two worst enemies and hoping they kill each other.

Yeah, Terry was in three different times to pitch, and she definitely seemed sharper than Canady. Terry was the pitcher Tech stole from UCLA. I'm sure UCLA wished they still had her last night. Counting the closing out the game, Canady appeared 4 times in the circle. I'm pretty sure we'll see both of them as the Tech coach likes to swap them out depending on the situation and the hitter. We just need to be ready for either one. ROLL TIDE!
