Bottom of the 3rd: Taylor hits a weak grounder off the end of the bat to 2nd, out at 1st, 1 down. Hawkins hits a solid single up the middle, 1 on, 1 down for BAMA. White grounds to the pitcher, Hawkins out at 2nd base, 2 down. Young at the plate. White steals second, 2 down. Young flies out to shallow CF, inning over. BAMA strands 1. Still no score after 3 complete. Canady seems to give every batter a strike down the middle to start off with, but we keep looking at it.

Top of 4th: Briski still in the circle: First batter hits a screaming line drive home run to dead center, BAMA is now down 1-0. ground out to 2nd for the first out. Line drive to LF, caught by Vandagriff, 2 down. Fly ball to LF, inning over, but Tech is now up 1-0. Wake the bats up BAMA!!!
It’s hard to beat a dominant pitcher let alone two. It’s why i preferred a UCLA matchup. The only two things going for us is that Briski is pitching better and our offense could wake up at any point. So we are still in it but outs are getting tense.
Bottom of the 4th: Wells - routine fly ball to CF, 1 down. Pupillo - routine ground ball to 2nd, out at 1st. You can't pull an outside pitch and get a base hit. Go with it. 2 down. Giles draws a 4 pitch walk. 1 on, 2 down for BAMA. Roman grounds out to 2nd, no damage for BAMA. We've looked pretty feeble at the plate most of today. Can we wake up?
Top of 5th: Briski still in the circle: Grounder to 3rd, 1 down. Double down the RF line. 1 on, 1 down for Tech. Grounder to Briski, out a 1st. She never looked at the runner on 2nd. She would have had her out by a mile. 2 down. Runner on 3rd, 2 down for Tech. Grounder to SS, inning over. Briski gets out of it again. I sure wish we would start helping her out. BAMA still down 1-0.
Bottom of the 5th: Vandagriff leads off with a K, 1 down. Taylor strikes out, 2 down. We're not even hardly foul tipping the ball. Hawkins grounds out to 1st, inning over. At least she hit the ball. BAMA down 1-0 after 5 complete. With our effort at the plate so far, I have to say things are looking bleak. Briski deserves a lot more back up than we're giving her.
Top of the 6th: Briski still in the circle: Base hit to LF to open the inning - 1 on 1st, no outs for Tech. Base hit to RF, Tech now has 1st and 2nd, no outs. Moten coming in to pitch. We really need to keep this a one run game.
Usually when you squander the chances to put up big innings against good pitching like Tech has done tonight it bites you in the rump late in the game.
Top of the 6th continued: Moten now in the circle. Grounder to Moten, gets the out at 3rd, 1 down. We get out of the inning.
Man, my kingdom for a dinger. That seems like the only way we might score tonight. I guess this girl is earning her million dollars.
We had one. It was just a little to the left. It really may not be our night. But.... I believe
Always the semifinals…. It’s like we never can get a break with them. We either play a team that everyone knows they are going to win it, a team with a dominant pitching staff that just destroys our lineup, or just a series of bad bad breaks
