Due to this suspected offense by THE Ohio State University Buckeyes, Alabama will no longer be participating in the Independence Bowl in 2006, loses 21 scholarships and can have no TV coverage for 5 years. Story at 10.

it does seem silly that they can't raise money to send the families to the game, but if they allow that sort of thing it could easily turn into other extra benefits, etc.
I am still waiting for the NZAA to CRUSH USC for its major violations concerning Reggie Bush.

It's NOT the Fiesta Bowl...
It's the BCS Championship game. Oklahoma and Boise State are playing in the Fiesta Bowl.
This reminds me of the idiot Nzaa's who stopped Georgia fans from paying the way of the father of one of the other team's players to bring him from Iraq to the game in Athens. In the questionable wisdom of the Nzaa they declared that these Georgia fans would become boosters for the other team. It worked out at the Dad could attend the game but it just shows the idiocracy of the nzaas.
well, that should pretty much put the case closed stamp on the NCAA's "investigation" into this matter.
I wasn't there, and didn't know anything about it until I read the article posted here. With all that said, can I be a secret witness? :biggrin2:
Don't forget the meals at a former player restaurant for recruits. nothing will become of that either. :rolleye2:
