If things turn out to be a beauty contest for human pollsters, a one-loss AU is probably not going to have a chance to get to the BSCCG. They really needed us to stay at one loss and USC to stay at two... especially USC's situation.
My question is this. Will ya'll actually root for Auburn to win the SECCG or the BCSCG (if they go)? I'm not so sure I would or could :eek2:.

If the NCAA concludes that the barn knew about Cecil Newton's contact with Kenny Rogers, and they played him, anyway, today, then they're going to lose more than a shot at an nc.

Here's the thing... if Auburn were to go and win, the SEC stays the prominent conference in America. That translates into a situation where a one-loss SEC team can still have hope for a national title when there are unbeatens in the lesser conferences. Look at it this way, the reason Michigan State has little shot right now at the BSCCG is because Ohio State has laid an egg the past two times it got to the title game. If they won those two, MSU probably has a decent chance right now.
Personally, I think I'd rather have the safety net of a loss in future years than having to endure AU fans for a year. However, I do live in Tuscaloosa.![]()

I can't agree with you here, but your reality and mine are quite different, Chief!![]()
I don't want enough talent to win - I want enough talent to win CHAMPIONSHIPS. And having another SEC team with a BCSNC on its resume will, without a doubt, make that more difficult. Having that team in our state will make it much more difficult....Regarding the recruiting thing, I don't think we'll ever have a problem getting enough guys to win with CNS. We may not get all the Bama guys, but we'll get enough.
