Lots of family in Nebraska.

They want Craig Bohl, who turned N Dakota State into a D2 monster and left last year for Wyoming. He was a player and DC at Nebraska during the latter Osborne years. Long recruiting ties to the upper midwest, which the Huskers may need.

I hope he sticks around at least one more year. He has done wonders with the offense when the cuffs are off him.
His playcalling hurts us too sometimes, but there is no question that we would have lost last night if Nuss was still our OC. Might've lost with McElwain too. Kiffin got it done last night.

Speaking of Coach Mac, they should at least give him a look. The question is, can he recruit well enough? I know he wouldn't let his guys give up 400 yards to one guy.

I am sure an opportunity to return to NU as the head man would be hard to turn down.

I was about to post the same thing - this was about his "personality". His act wore too thin, even with the wins. Sometimes winning isn't enough, even in this era.
I understand that not all fanbases have the ridiculous expectations of Bama fans, but giving up 400+ yards to one man is unacceptable for a program with pride. And how about giving up 70+ points in the conference championship game a few years ago? It was clear that Bo's ceiling was getting his behind kicked by Wisconsin in prime time.

The only two coaches with at least 9 wins each of the last 7 seasons: Nick Saban and Bo Pelini

Pelini was 66-27 (71%)

CLEARLY this was not about wins and losses...
Good point. He lost that locker room, fanbase, and the PTB. I remember last year when they unveiled their new alternate uniforms it was Pelini who was dressed up in the uniform. When he revealed himself, there was little reaction from the players. It was like they didnt care. Could you imagine the players' reaction if any of our coaches did that, much less Coach Saban? They would go nuts.

He was a pretty good DC at LSU. Could AU go for him as DC assuming they Ellis Johnson?

That could be a great hire. I havent kept up with Wyoming (and, who does?) but he built NDSU into a machine. Like another poster said, going home to his alma mater would be hard to turn down.

Everyone says that about CNS and Kiffin. Although I don't agree, coaching can make people seem like Jerks. it's not a "be nice" business.
I still think there is a big difference in Saban and Pelini. I still remember that recording from Pelini about the fans. That is what I am referring to....not his coaching style.
