Question: Braxton Miller to UA?

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

at OSU He ran a lot. Probably contributed to that shoulder's injury. So If his shoulder isn't 100 percent healthy or he's scared of re-injurying it again, then why take a chance running so much this fall? Plus NFL team dont think he can be a QB at NFL level, so of course he wants to be able to given a chance to throw more than his runs. I think if he came to Alabama and he probably will.. *Slightly grin* He probably would have between 500-700 running yards... Beside we have Drake, Henry and harris.

That, I believe, would be significantly more than Blake.

The clutter and hypotheticals continue, and I know a guy that often says he doesn't like either. It seems like anyone that says they are comfortable going with what we've got is met with a little skepticism on here by some posters. To each their own but I am definitely in the camp of let's play with the one's we've got...even if it is a freshman.

I think many are basing alot on last year and the fact Auburn regularly goes and gets transfers. But its the offseason, and there are very few great stories. Would you rather talk about how Auburn is getting all the hype with the Boom Bros or would you rather talk about the possibilities of people transfering here?

I would rather talk about what Blake, David and Jake (in alphabetical order) are doing to win the job this fall.

Wonder if we will get either one. If this is true it seems we are rather desparate..

I don't care what coach does concerning getting a transfer or going with what we have. Whatever. But, if I was a QB at Bama right now, how does all this stinky stuff effect me? It will either make me work harder or give up. So, my opinion is this stuff will in some way effect the team. Good or bad, I don't know. This new trend of bringing in a new guy cause the guys you picked don't work out is not something that I condone. IMO it sends the wrong message to recruits and current team members. However, look at last year. We did not use Coker even though it appeared we would , so with history to look at, coach really did handle that well IMO.

So, in conclusion, what do I know. Carry on.

I dont know if i want to say zerio confidence.... Coker is just inconsistent with his decision making on the field. The way I look at it... Might be a good thing for Coker/Cornwell.. might force them to step up this summer. If you're a quiet guy and dont say much, then how can you lead a team especially when you're a QB?
If we are thinking of taking Golson. They must really have zero confidence in Coker.

You are right, Coker's issue has been accuracy and decision making. He has great arm strength, but he tries to fit passes into too tight of windows that he can't hit. He may have a confidence problem as well. Frankly, you can't be the leader of a championship football team without having confidence in yourself.

FWIW, from what I'm hearing from plugged in sources, a - if not THE - main problem w him is that he locks in on a receiver, to the point where people in the cheap seats can tell who he's throwing to...

An interception waiting to happen...

Esp in the SEC...

I could see Coker doing that. This year we are going to have to spread it around some.
