Team Performance
  • Brewers: best record in MLB at 67–44, currently 2 games ahead in NL Central over Cubs
    • Just swept Washington, outscoring Nats 38–14; set franchise record with 56 hits in series
    • 7–3 in their last 10 games, winners of 3 straight
  • Braves: 47–63 overall, 26–26 at home
    • Lost 7 of their last 10 games; 3–7 over their last 10
    • 1-1 in last series (@ Reds)
Series Tidbits
  • Austin Riley, Atlanta’s third baseman, has been placed on the 10-day injured list due to a lower abdominal strain. He exited the Braves’ 4–2 win Sunday in Bristol after aggravating the injury. At that point he was batting .260 with 16 HR and 54 RBI in 102 games.
  • The Braves recalled infielder Nacho Álvarez Jr. and Jonathan Ornelas in corresponding roster moves.
  • This marks the first time the Brewers visit Truist Park in Milwaukee’s flipped schedule, with pivotal standings implications.
  • Brewers bring MLB’s top batting average (.257) and Braves are solidly middle‑of‑the‑pack OBP (.318)

Starting Lineup for 8/4. Gonna be tough sledding from here on out. This may be one of the worst starting lineups on offense that I've ever seen the Braves field.

Braves are basically fielding a minor league team at this point. At the same time, the Braves are currently raising season ticket prices, which has many people very upset on Reddit.

I can see the same talent level play here in downtown Montgomery for $7. Shoot, sometimes if you show up in the later innings, they will let you in for free.

Raising prices to see this garbage is just dumb. They raise prices yet will not pay money to keep great players here. I loathe the owners.

Braves are an MLB worst 5-12 since the ASB (tied with the Giants). This team has thrown in the towel; convince me otherwise.

They are trying to catch the Nationals in the east cellar. Fourth-worst overall record in MLB right now with a real shot at passing both the Nationals and the White Sox.

An off year is one thing, but this is pathetic. Blame squarely falls on AA and Snit. It was obvious from the first week of the season that this team had holes and they have done nothing to try and plug any of them. Fire them both!
