I think what CS was implying was that we didn't want to get involved with an offer due to possible family instability. Remember, CNS works the family just like the recruit, so a kid with a mom deadset on him playing for the Mint Juleps probably didn't resonate very well with the staff.

This signing day stuff has gotten completely out of hand. This one just makes me scratch my head.

I am somewhat confused on who has to sign the LOI. Yesterday, it was stated in the Kouandjio thread that if the player is younger than 21, a parent or guardian must also sign the LOI. Pretty straight forward until this mess with Raven was revealed. If the mother is required to sign the LOI, did she sign both the one to Ole Miss and ATM, then forge her son's signature on the one to Ole Miss? Don't know why she would do that if she wanted him to go to Ole Miss. Or did the son forge his mother's name on the one to A&M? Or did his father sign the LOI to A&M? Otherwise, how did A&M receive a valid LOI?
