I don't see "It's easy to win at Vandy". There's a difference. A big difference. Saban wasn't referencing win or lose. Nor the players. He was talking about the venue. The stadium.

I just know Nick Saban would never say anything derogatory about another team, their players, or coaches. Or about it being easy to win at another school. That's not him at all. You apparently don't know much about Nick Saban.

That's the point. It wasn't about a team. It was about the venue. The locale and we have a lot of fans there. Nothing about their team.

I agree with you. But I think that Saban needs to remember that he is still seen as a representative of the program, so statements like that will be twisted and made into bulletin board material.

He helped fuel the fire for Vandy, while also reinforcing the sense of superiority that Alabama players felt going into the game.

It became another hurdle for Alabama to overcome. But, to be clear, Alabama lost because they didn't think that they could lose, not because of anything that Saban said or didn't say.

Our guys were cocky and disrespectful and didn't take Vandy serious.

They thought they could just show up and win easily and they were wrong.

Exactly! It wasn't the atmosphere in the stadium that made things difficult for us Saturday. It was the other team being more ready to play and the other team playing harder and the other team executing better.
