Oklahoma belongs in this playoff about as much as Notre Dame did last year. It is ridiculous what this has become. Now, Ohio State/Clemson will be an all out 4 quarter battle. At least there is a week between this and the championship game.

Actually, 16 days. Plenty of time to rest

The talent difference between these teams is just laughable. I’m more convinced than ever that we (even with the loss at Auburn) was the 4th best team in the country.

This reminds me of the game against ND when Brian Kelly hoped Bama got back on the bus. Not sure Coach O will show as much mercy as Coach Saban did. Bama could have scored 80 easy on that squad.

This really is the closest analogue of championship level mismatch we've seen in awhile.

No offense B1GTide...they just seem to be playing on a different level. But I’m not saying the winner of your game has no chance. Any team can be beat.

The Sooners would be getting blown out by either of them as well.

They are withering on the vine. Their only decent recruiting state is Texas. And EVERYONE recruits Texas. There has been a massive talent drain going on in that conference since the breakup.

Ohio State is well suited for the potential match up. This is really about how out classed Oklahoma is than anything else. It will be a good championship game either way but I'm pulling hard for your Buckeyes.

Oklahoma will drop to 0-4 in the CFP's. They were 1-3 in BCS games. They have to be the undisputed kings of big game ineptitude over the past 22 years or so. The committee needs to send a note of reminder to themselves for next year.

In general the State of Texas exerts enough political/economic power to assert their place at the table. The only reason the Big-12 still exists is due to the political interests within that state conspiring to keep their alma maters in a conference of relevance. UT-Austin has not been able to leave the conference multiple times because of these legislative machaniations

Dang, I left the game for a bit when it was 28-7 to eat an early dinner with the family and watch a show. I come back, and it is 49-14. LSU must have lit it up. Hey, committee members, will you please stop putting OU in the playoff? Please? Even though you put Bama 13th, I'm pretty sure we could beat OU by four TDs.

And look how they have been beaten in CFP games except for the Ga Rose Bowl game. Barely competitive

I have to dispute Todd Blackledge's pregame comment that the 4 playoff teams have the 4 best QB's. A healthy Tua is among the Top 4. Jalen is showing some of the flaws today he had at Bama and why he lost the job to Tua.
