Coaching carousel 2025-26

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

It’s always interesting to hear who the fans say they want as a head coach for their team. There are a lot of hot seats right now and openings that will come up by end of year

if Kirby was gone at Georgia, Clark Lea would have to be at the top of the list for me. I would have to think his name would be getting more traction from fan bases, but it doesn’t seem to be

If you have a vacancy and he’s not at or near the top of your list, then there should be two vacancies at your university.

There have been rumors about Kirby... I wonder how long before he gets tired of the portal and college rigamarole and throws his name in for the NFL.

Yea, I'd a least make him tell me no. Just get the feeling it is a "Mama Called" thing with him and Vandy will pay him what we asks for.

Idk. Kirby seems like a college guy through and through. He can stay at Georgia for as long as he wants, and his kids are probably getting to that age where you want to keep them in the same place/school. Plus he’d never get away with that “I was clapping!” shenanigans in the NFL.

They made a reference to the "clapping" today in one of the NFL games.

Just thinking out loud…..

How similar is the production-curve of Clark Lea‘s resume being directly influenced by Diego Pavia
….as Jimbo Fisher’s was influenced by Johnny Manziel…?

Look at his record before Pavia and two coaches from his last school show up.

Lane and many of these others are the same way though
I think with the NIL era a coach is looking to land somewhere that is not only bringing in the top salary but a place he can have long term success in attracting coaches and players. Frankly, Lane has a cherry job where he is and so does the vandy coach given the expectation level and all. Certainly, UF and state penn are career defining destinations but they also have the history of chewing up and spitting out coaches due to Lord knows the politics...especially in the gators case.

I think the jury is still out (for me at least) on Clark Lea. Look at his record before Pavia and the offensive staff he brought in from New Mexico St. What happens when they leave? I guess he could hire another offensive staff but I just get the feeling they've caught lightning in a bottle with Pavia. If he can do it with another QB then he's got my attention.

Your are correct, but dude has also brought in the pieces through the portal to help that team go. If he can keep the staff together and continue to work the portal then continued success can be had. But are very true with your comment about the half pint QB the could.
