What does he bring? They come from literally the same branch of the same coaching tree. They both are quarterback guys, what facet of the offense does his presence change for the better?

Great Value Ryan Gosling isn’t going to instill the physicality on offense or defense that USC needs to get over the obstacle that is Utah.

you forgot Kingsbury‘s history of success as a college head coach. You can’t ignore his 28-38-1 record

He was hired specifically to develop Kyler Murray.…

Who has built into his contract a required number of hours of film study. Why? Because despite all the hype and talent and money, he simply refused to put in the work.

Apparently Murray spent more time playing Madden than studying film.

You're missing a little career interregnum there - wasn't immediate a'tall, just seemed that way. After Texas Tech turfed him out, for about 30 days, or maybe it was 30 minutes, Kingsbury was USC's offensive coordinator, having been hired by Clay Helton.

Did he not get fired by Texas Tech after the 2018 season and coach the Cardinals in the 2019 season? I'm pretty sure he did.
